Similar... except for the being lifted 20 feet off the ground and dropped as you went along.... Yeah.
The pilots idea of "stable hover" and mine were obviously quite different.

I've had those same problems in that area for years. Never had any surgery,. I have found that exercise regularly helps that, and now I rarely feel the pain..
