Any chance you know how many bolts your backing plates are held on with? The belve has 5 like a 8 3/4 Just seems weird and wondering if it is special some how before I part it out.

Just weird, never saw one on a 7.25 with five bolts holding it on. Took the normal four out and then realized it had 5.

I always thought they had four my 8 1/4 had four but with a 5 hole baking plate. The other two 7 1/4 I stripped had four. Guess it is normal then.

Hey folks! Happy Independence Day! :usflag:

I'm just popping in. Both me and my wife are on vacation so I spend more time with the family and less with you guys, I'm afraid.

Be nice!

Good morning, and happy Independence Day! I'm workin' tonight in the bar, shouldn't be toooo bad? Lots of outdoor events around the resort and two pretty decent fireworks displays...the idea is to get everyone OUT and then lock the doors quick, clean up and go home. Hitting the road to Georgia early tomorrow, meeting my sister to take our Dad out for his 80th birthday. He says he can't believe he's 80, it blows my mind too, I remember helping him work on his '67 Barracuda when he was still a whipper-snapper...

huh - a few estimates put my 360 in that range... seems you're jumping on the "overkill" wagon a bit..?
No, it'll probably pull harder than that. But my goal is 550. If I exceed it great. And I'm over killing the suspension and rest I'd the drive train right from the get go, I know me and I'll wanna grow from the base line anyway as time goes on. So I'm building that adjustability and grow room from the beginning. Cheaper and easier that way.

All told, my 440 combo is a copy of one if IQ52s builds here that broke over 600 with ported factory heads. With port aluminum heads, I should be close to that. But anything over 550 and I'll be thrilled
