Stop in for a cup of coffee

Some rattling at the dust cover/bell housing... I'll need to explore that. Ugh. Trauma from transmission noises. Praying for simple fix. It shifts correctly throughout testing on jackstands. Just that rattle noise

Got the timing advance set at idle. It sounds very nice

Goooooood Mornin from Viet Nam !!!!
Last day up here in Saigon. Going back down to Vinh Long tomorrow. I miss hearing the F@ck me Gekos there at night. Kkkkkkkk

That does look pretty nice. I need to get to work on my 65 Belvedere Post Car. Engine runs great but the guy I got it from put the k-frame, 440 engine, and automatic transmission from a '69 charger in it. The K frame sets the engine back little bit too far. I do have the correct V8 k-frame for the car that I scavenged from another 65 Belvedere. And the car also needs front floor pans.

Dang, I saw floor pans for those cars when I was poking around today. No Idea who had them.

Yeah, it ain't back far. I think only about an inch. But the cross member for the transmission doesn't mate to the body correctly .The new k-frame I have will solve that problem. And the good news is, this car was originally a slant 6 with three on the tree. Clutch pedal and so forth is still in the car. I have a good spare four speed and shifter for it. When I redo the front floor pans I will put a 4-speed floor shifter hump in it...

I really missed that Top Loader 4spd after I did the 351W/C4 swap in my Ranchero. Gotta say though, made traveling the SoCal rush hour freeways somewhat easier

This old man is going to bed, sleep good everyone. Coffee will be ready by 5:30 but I'm still a Zombee till 6 or 7.

For lunch today she made me Banh Xeo. It's a thin crust rice based pancake fried in a pan and stuffed with Vietnamese Stuff. It has ground pork and miniature shrimp and Vietnamese vegetables. Banh Xeo is a big hit everywhere in Vietnam. Have eaten it many times before. But I don't think I've had one as good as Hers. Kkkkkkkkk

The middle Son, Thang, age 19, has a performance Honda 150cc motorcycle. He has modified this thing significantly since he got it. Custom brakes and exhaust and different things including carbureation. I've heard him run it down the road. It sounds great and loud. Last week he had a collision with two young girls on an electric motorbike that crashed into him broadside. He went down pretty hard and it broke up a lot of plastic parts on the bike and scraped up the exhaust system, and threw the front wheel out of alignment with the handlebars. He also received some pretty good road rash from the fall. In Vietnam when there is a traffic accident, unless somebody is deathfully ill they pretty much let It go and each party goes on their own way. That would never happen with our litigious ways in America. So today he started out to remove some of the plastic parts. I think he was trying address the out of alignment problem. But I don't think he could really figure it out by himself, so I stepped in to help him. Mind you, he's got this thing disassembled and parts scattered everywhere in his mother 's Spa Shop. Kkkkkk. Same thing we would do in America in the living room. Lol. After I told him we had to pull all of the plastic off the front in order to expose the forks, he did so. So then I showed him how to untighten the bolts on the front tubes tee and jerk the front end back into alignment. All good now, but he'll need to buy some new plastic parts that were broken or cracked. He could hardly believe I knew all this. So then I had to show him pictures of all of the things that I have either restored or built from scratch. kkkkkkkkk

Good Morning everyone. Rained yesterday morning, switched to snow, then back to rain. Rained until late, then steady 20mph winds and a real feel temp of 17° with more snow for the drive into work. I expected a sheet of ice, but roads were ok.
