Upper left! LOL

I've been looking at cages an ended up on S&W's site. Found it interesting that they recommend .134 erw over .120 dom. Stating the .120 is close to the edge as far as passing tech and any variance might not pass. Imho the.134 would be incredably HEAVY.

Got all the soot off of the car finally. Looks lonely without it! LOL Might have to get busy with the airbrush!

Dave seriously when I am doing all the new harnesess the batt will be going in the trunk along with the vac pump. Prob get one of the shut off switches and put it in the "o" of the POPMOBILE tail panel. Trick egh!

yea - the kit I installed was an S&W - don't remember which one though...

Been looking at bat solenoids but think of it, it always has to have power to turn off a cont duty solenoid.

Easier to dress it up a bit without the wiring in the way,eh?
Doing it by taking one out at a time, figuring it out with what is really there and what the schematics say and take out all the crap I don't use like seatbelt interlocks, choke timer etc. Seems easier then the whole melted mess at once. Takes a freaking while. Should have plenty of open pins to run the gauges through the bulkhead connectors and the other stuff.

Gotcha, thought you pulled it all out.

I was going to then realized there is just about no insulation left anywhere. Some of the wiring diagrams are different so I kind of do the average # of right colors and write it in my "master" set. The se is also a pain in the *** and it is a bit different than the diagrams of course. It is like pilling piano wire through a window gasket! slow and really crappy to do. That's why I did the wiper one first. Trial! Got some good heat resistant tape in the mail the other day. Hit a piece with a torch and it just shriveled. Like it just 13 for 100'

You could always power it with a small separate battery that isn't part of the main system. Maybe like a small motorcycle/lawn tractor battery. It could still be on the charging circuit to maintain charge and still power the "kill" which would leave it independently powering the switch.

Wiring is my least favorite task and not one of my strong suits. What I startedwith and decided an aftermarket harness would be easier for me to deal with. The engine compartment was just as bad.

Decided it is easier just to up the insurance a bit! LOL really do not want to be a rocket scientist with it. It is the POP!

I actually broke down and got a real set of car wiring tools a Packard 56 crimper and the single installation and removal tools for just about every style terminal out ther. Been doing a lot of it lately. The Packard are a pain in the *** to crimp right without the right tool.
