I cannot remember can the front drums come off of the hubs? Been a long time. Have a real nice pair of r and l hubs from the belve and the drums are at the limits.

no - studs are part of the drums

Ive read a lot about the lugs being 'swedged' to hold the hub and drum together. But I've never done it..

You are correct, the hub/studs can be swapped with new drums
