Thanks for your concern re: my health, assholes!!

Good news is, I didn't develop an allergy to beer :)

I think they're more concerned about your @sshole's health... :poke:

question, has anyone ever sold a vehicle while still having a loan on it?

No, but I bought one that was still financed...

I went with the owner to the loan company and we paid off the remainder of the loan in cash, then they signed and released the title... (I paid for the car in cash and he used part of it to pay off the loan on the car so the loan company would sign off and release the title...)

All liens must be cleared for you to be able to title it in your name...

Hmmm, seems like an Emirates B777 attempted a landing in Dubai without having the gear down.

Didn't go well. Good news for the boys in Seattle though!!

like trying to teach a pig to sing... it annoys the pig and wastes your time...:)

Arguing with me is like wrestling with a pig in the mud...

After a while you realize that you are cold and tired, and the pig is enjoying it....

I love this thread - I haven't laughed this much since my last trip...
Curious. Then the buyer sends the check to the finance co.?
nope - buyer essentially pays you for the vehicle - you go to the bank and pay off the loan - they then send you YOUR title and you sign it over to the new owner

This is NOT the time for "Pictures or it didn't happen"

But it did happen.....

with my "bank" - it's a Credit Union - I am pretty sure they don't have it on hand so they have to contact their holding co. and have it sent to you - they will not send it to someone else

Can you call ahead and have them send it to your local branch...

I think that's what the guy I bought mine from did. He called ahead and had everything arranged for us to pay it off and go...

gotcha! I think it might be a little difficult to get someone to go for that deal and drop the cash without the title being involved/available.
