speaking of vacation in Sweden

I went with a friend the other day to his friend's shop and sitting in the corner were pices of a Saab 96 ...I am going to say 1961ish

I Never thought I would find even pieces of one in middle America.

I love those cars!!!!

An older Saab 96 is about the only non mopar car I would ever get involved with.....maybe an original Fiat 500 but again, find one in middle America LOL

Cool! Yeah, I know you like'em. How much of it was there?
not even enough to build the whole car, but what was there was rust free.

I think it's missing the driveline, a fender, one door, and all the glass

total deal killer because that stuff would be non-existent around here.

You know, people on this forum help me find stuff I need in the US. I'm sure I or someone with more detailed SAAB knowledge over here would be happy to return the favor.

Trollhättan, where the SAAB factory was, is only an hour from me and there is a large fan base, several forums and clubs to support you.

Get it and we'll get what's missing over to you. :)

in the original post about it I had 1971ish by error ....

I meant 1961 ish but my keypad slipped here.

It is definitely the real early style, like this one, which is not really favorite style but it's still a saab 96

this is the Grille and style that I like the most ...and a wagon would be better than a dream come true

the problem I had with one Saab forum I found, is they were writing in Swedish ?? I didn't understand much there but I am thinking maybe there might be one somewhere that I could understand......or I might need to learn Swedish

Hm. Yes, I can see how that would be an issue. Difficult to browse the forum looking for threads on relevant topics. Starting your own threads in English probably wouldn't be any problem, though. In any large forum you'd find quite a few with a decent written English.
