Ok I'm out. It's just me and I'm not in the mood tonight. Try to help and.. Well I'm done. I'm sure you will figure it out when it's starving for air.

Well, I did a bunch of thermal calculations to figure out what kind of effect I will get in the garage from insulating the door. The stuff I just put on brings the door to an R3 and when I'm done it will be an R10.

Should be pretty significant...

Ok, got everything together including fire extinguisher and flashlights. If you're so inclined, please say a prayer for my wisdom and safety tomorrow. Should get home before midnight. Thanks!

Safe travels and have fun! Remember that there are a bunch of us here in PA not too far from your likely travel route so send up a flair if you get into any difficulties.

Between us, we will figure out how to get the Calvary to you if you need it. :usflag:

Whoops, I thought he was in NC coming up the east side of the mountains. From SC looks like he'll go on the west side. Oh well...it's the thought that counts.

Cleveland Georgia...small town in N. Georgia. Southern car all it's life. But thanks for the kind offer!

1971 mopar Plymouth fury 3

Going by myself tomorrow, unless somebody else buys it, more than likely I will, provided I don't find any deal-breakers upon inspecting it. The owner feels confident it will make the 5 hr drive home. I'll drive it a bit then shut it down and look for any concerns.

I've gathered some wrenches, rags, a jug of coolant, trans fluid, quart of oil, hose clamps, duct tape, tow rope, a moving blanket in case I have to get under it. My insurance does have roadside assistance if I need a tow.

I'd appreciate any other suggestions for what to bring along....thanks.
Awesome, but How are you getting there? AND bringing second vehicle back flying solo?

My friendly Enterprise car rental has an office in the town, doing a one-way rental, at least I hope I love this Fury and drive it home. It's a 5 hr drive so not too daunting.

Ah ha. That works. I knew you mentioned driving it back. I was just picturing you getting on a bus with rope, duc tape, oil etc. "Excuse me sir, I need you to step out of line."... "No, but really, I'm going to pick up a car!" LOL

If I had no other way, I would do it! But this is no big deal, just pays to be prepared. I kind of like the idea of going by myself too.

Good morning, USA!

So much fun in store for today! My cousin and I tore down his greenhouse last week and we're going to order the material for the foundation today. My wife and I dug a hole a few days ago but it's been raining pretty much every day since then so it's been sort of on hold. Today I'll be going to the gravel yard to order some 0-30, single size gravel and stone. Should be fun!

Here's a pic of the pit.

I wish we had dirt to play with up on this rock filled hill, we have to bring dirt in, I am next to a ranchers place so it's easy getting food for our dirt to feed our plants (cow piles) :D

Ulf! I had no idea you were lurking in here! Hi!

Yes, well, the hole actually looks a little better than when that pic was taken. I used my rake to even it out a little and the rain has softened the contours even more. Here's what it looks like now:

And here are my son's guinea pigs, Pixel and Chocolate in the outdoor cage we built this spring:

My son watches a lot of let's play videos on YT and one of his idols (UFO) has a rat named Pixel so he named it after him (it?). Then his older sister paid $5 to get to name the other one and she chose the name Chocolate. :)
