Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mayday.

Need advice. Have a guy locally wanting to trade me a 741 3.91 sure grip for my 489 3.23 sue grip. If I'm not mistaken, the 489 has a larger yoke right?

Even so.. You will be hard pressed to break any of them... 741...742...489..

what a slow day

went to a birthday party and then went to do my friend's hair and now it is so boring.

I hate weekends, everything is already closed or closing for the day. Cant even go get any car paint supplies or renew my plates .....nothing

weekends are so boring

Went to a small show just down the road. All makes, some nice Mopars but no A bodies. Cool seeing the Coronet convertible. A buddy had a similar one back in the 80s. It was white like this one. First thing we did was Comet wash it. I think he paid a $100 for the car - drivable except for the top was shredded. And another $100 to get a top put on...

question for the coffee crew: Those with shifters on the floor, where do the cables enter on your car? in front of the torsion bar/trans crossmember or at the rear?

Hey there George, Sorry to hear your under the weather. Were you watching or racing? Or is it a racing bug?

I see an orange wing car.

I love that shade of orange.

It's amazing that for as "rare" as wing cars are......its like they show up at every car show across the country and even many shows internationally.

Hmmmm .....you would think they made like 300 thousand of them

Have to wonder how many are real as there are companies out there building clones

That's because you're small town... :poke:

Move to a big city and your possibillys (That's possibilities + hillbillys..) are better... :mob:

Parts stores open till 9 here, and 6 tomorrow... :steering:

And we can buy alcohol on Sunday here... :confederateflag:

The DMV in Joliet is open till Noon today and they are full service. (4 minutes drive from me, but they are quick - usually can get in and out in 15 minutes)

And we have a NASCAR race track, 1/4 mile race track, and Demo Derby track in Joliet where we can go see the races... :steering:

Naner, naner, naner.....

yep, pretty bad when you can count on seeing a wing, but not an A body LOL. Kind of a shame, but I don't really pay much attention to them anymore. no clue if this one was real or Memorex. I spent more time looking at a Polara

Stock cars with auto and console have the linkages from behind the position on the trans where the levers are...

Stock cars with auto and column shift, have the linkages coming from in front of the trans where the levers are mounted...

If you have cables, you must have an aftermarket shifter, which I have not ever worked on...
