Good morning guys and Rani. I guess this is like a real coffee shop, once in a while you see something you wish you didn't. We can't really have rules like "no shoes, no shirt, no service." Personally I don't like to see anything too strange with my morning coffee...those dudes with tattoos, ugh...but to each his own.

Yep summer's on the wane...only 90 degrees forecast for today, a big improvement. My goal today is clean the Fury's glass real good. I forgot how good it feels to have a Mopar to take care of in your spare time. It was a good decision. Glad I didn't get that Valiant I was thinking about. The only thing is it will be harder to find some parts.
I am not so much into tattoos as well but that is just a hilarious photo chop that was done.

A mopar is a friend, glad you are taking care of one again

David, Glass wax is the stuff if you can find it locally. It fills all the imperfections and lasts a while.

If you use car wax on the outside of the windows, rain beads off better...

Also any stickers won't stick to it...

They used to put stickers on cars at our high school that didn't have a parking permit, then the dean would stand at the exit every day and watch everyone leave... If you had a sticker on your car, he would pull you over and have you see him the next morning for discipline (detention)... We refused to sign the permit application giving them authority to search our cars at their whim, so we just drove to school without a permit.

I kept a widget in my car (68 Barracuda with shelf dashboard), and would scrape the sticker off the window every day before leaving...

Then we started working at the 10 min oil change and noticed that the door stickers would not stick if the customer had waxed the door jams... So we started waxing our windows, and the stickers peeled right off...

One time, I didn't have time to scrape the sticker off and he called me "Butch" and told me to see him the next morning. I told my brother (Butch) that he thought that I was him, so my brother told me to blow it off (he was already out of school).... The dean never caught me for that....

Some pictures of last night's work on the 318 for the Challenger:

We have the cam in and it's in the position that we want it, we are good with P-V clearance: Int = .098", Exh = .188"

Compression = 8.33

According to the dyno prediction it should make 380 ft *lb of torque at 3500 and 335 HP at 5500...

Whats the broken piece Karl?

Are you talking the green stuff???

That's the clay that I put on the piston to check piston to valve clearance. I cut it down the center of the smallest point and measure it with calipers... That's where I sliced it and measured it...

I figured out yesterday the alt was fried from the fire. Think the reg is also. What *** pain this is turning into. Glad I had one of the old full fielding tools still. Knew I kept that for something!

Tike gave me a shelf in the truck that mounts in the visor holes. That is always full, love it.

Fried alternator... What sauce goes with that???

One of the reasons that 68 is my favorite year for the Barracuda...

And it was the first year of the 340...
68 ....First year the A body car was refined and shed the early A feel.

I have a 67 barracuda and I do like it but too many throwbacks to the early stuff.

Such as bulky and uncalled for spring loaded glove box hinges amongst other things
