Stop in for a cup of coffee

Oh Jeez, my brother in law with the late stage liver cancer just called. He's in the hospital with gall stones. Not sure if they are going to operate, but in his condition I don't know if he would survive the surgery. They just told him last week that the blood vessels in his liver were so badly destroyed now that they can no longer do chemo.

Somehow, I don't think a liver transplant is going to happen soon enough to save him and without one I don't think he can make it much past Christmas (if that).

Ugh! It's going to be a long Holiday season and even longer Winter at this rate. No joy in our future I fear. I just hope it ends without undue misery...for all involved.

I really wish this nasty cold wind would stop. I'm freezing my onions off!

35° with a 30 mph wind, windchill is 22°...brrrrr!

Even the garage is down to 56° with the newly insulated door, damn wind keeps pushing it open and blowing around the seals. My bedroom is over it so cold garage means cold bedroom...yuck!

Praying for peace and strength for you and family.

Sad news, my thoughts and prayers are with your family as well, Dave. Each of you is affected in a different way.

Re: gall bladder surgery, it's quite minor...even 20+ years ago, my good friend had it done and he was in very poor health, I was very surprised, they didn't even keep him overnight. But I suspect you are informed.

It is hard when don't know what's going to happen.
