Back when I was young and poor, I would lay them on the ground then run over the edge of the tire (with a car or truck) as close to the rim as possible to break the bead, then pry bar them off. Now that I'm old and poor I go down to the local used tire shop.
 
The surefire way is let the air out fill it with acetylene put a fuse in the valve stem light it and run like hell.

Good morning, just a drive-by, gotta run and get a haircut and give the gal her Christmas tip. Which reminds me of something that came up yesterday at work...If you make reservations at a restaurant and then your plans change, please call and cancel. Places have a finite number of tables, you may be needlessly preventing someone else from having the dining experience, by not making that call. So often, we turn people away because we are "fully committed." We don't want to overbook because when people come in and they have to wait even a short time after their reservation they get irate.
 
The tire un-mounting...I have a clear image of travelling in Costa Rica and stopping for gas, I scrawny kid about 9 years old working hard with that machine. It was a manual kind.

theres a lady that has a land locked parcel about 1.5 miles thru the woods of the property we own. there's 2 other parcels between us and her, she has an exisiting easement thru a a different direction but she doesnt like that easement so shes trying to get us and 3 other others to agree to moving her easement. what makes no sense is she complains her easement is too far from her property the road, currently it's about 1000 yards, the way she wants to move it would mean a distance of over 7000 yards total by the time she snakes it.....
