actually - that thing needs at least $1000 worth of work AND paint... if they are losing value instead of gaining.. you'll have 5-6k into it and it won't be worth 4 grand...
 
Well I received some good news on my friend mike. His mom exaggerated things a mite. No major heart damage. Two stents. Not a walk in the park but better news then I was first told.

Yeah... But he'd be Different..... As if he wasn't Already....:lol:
 
Well two comments from my perspective. First, I have to question how great the car is, after all he is selling it, he doesn't love it that much. Second, friends will tend to say, oh, go ahead and get it, which is easy to say when it's not their money. I've said to friends, "you sure do like to see me spend my money."

Well I just got home from work...but almost didn't.

Some idiot pulled out of a line of stopped cars directly in front of me while I was going down the ramp next to it at 60+ mph. I mean directly in front of me with less than 4 car lengths to stop and a guardrail on my right with no shoulder. To add to it, once she saw me, she froze and stopped dead across the lane.

Thank God I decided to drive the SRT today. I slammed the Brembo brakes as hard as I could and felt the ABS chattering like a machine gun while the BAS system dropped the anchor by down shifting the tranny as far as it would go...I was sure it wasn't going to stop in time and wondered how bad it was going to hurt getting a face full of airbag.

But I got it stopped...with only 6" to spare. I caught my breath and then laid into the horn for a full minute while cursing at the top of my lungs until the dumb b!tch woke up enough to get her POS out of my way.

I was really lucky that there wasn't someone directly behind me when this happened because they never would have been able to stop in time...turning me into a Mopar sandwich.
