Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hmm I just realized the fourth of july hits on a weekday this year, maybe pull a fire works permit for Sat? Have to look into that one.

Winter is such a curse on humanity

I am so in the mood to play car right now and forget everything else in the world..

How sweet it would be to go sit in a project car and scrutinize every piece of the car without moving a single foot from its resting place.

If it were Summer, it would be light out right now and warm.

But instead.........I open the the door and get a frigid wake up call from reality....
Oh yea, it's winter, and dark out and might snow again.

I think I should go to sleep and at least try to dream of something fun. Probably not tho........:(

Hey Rainy, got the winter blues? Join the club. Tired of grey skies, snow and ice myself. Buying car parts helps boost my mood. Whether I need them or not. LOL

Anyone remember the Hardy Boy books?
Yep. I was part of a "Free classroom" experiment by our school district when I was in 3rd grade where we could learn at our own pace and with our own focus on a subject.

I read all 52 books that had been published by that year in a month of school days.

I followed that with 6 weeks of playing chess and then finished the 3rd and 4th grade math books cover-to-cover in the next month. Then I ignored the English and spelling books for the rest of the year and never did them.

When I was done 3rd grade, they couldn't decide whether to send me straight to 5th grade or hold me back a year to finish the English and spelling bits. They finally chose not to make a decision...and sent me into 4th grade. :D

To date.....the most fun reading I know of...

FSM.

it allows you to really get to know your vehicle, inside and out.

It puts engineering ideas into a real world application .

Its an engineering, physics, math and life lesson all in one.

I can just read an FSM cover to cover and never be bored

That's exactly why I am spending the time to make my garage a nice heated and cooled space so I can work on my cars in comfort year 'round. With recent modifications, I have the heating working well. It's 72° in the garage right now and I'm sitting in the front seat of the GTS thinking about what I want to do. If you were closer I'd invite you to come over and help me figure out what to do with the car next. I'd even send you a text...

It doesnt even have to be Mopar for me.....I found a Chilton manual for a VW at a garage sale for 50 cents. It was interesting to see the engineering from a different part of the brain because German engineering is almost not of this world.

I went to a little Catholic school called Scared Heart. In third grade I got moved into 5th grand math and science , but for social studies and English I stayed in 3rd. It was weird as heck. Would have been fine had they just moved me up a grade but in between my 3rd and 4th grade year, the school downsized and no longer went k-12 but K-5th so my 4th and 5th grade years I got stuck doing the same math I'd already learned. Ended up getting into a lot of trouble because I got my work done so much quicker than anyone else that I started being disruptive. Spent half my time in the principals office who happened to be a nun and she didn't like that I wasn't catholic to begin with so yeah. Not fun

LOL! Yeah, I spent a lot of time in the Principal's office in 3rd grade. I had learned all they had to offer that I cared about, and was spending the rest of my time playing with my Hot Wheels in the hallways and stairwells. I think I pushed them over the edge when I brought a fresh road-kill rabbit I found one morning into school and proceeded to dissect it on my desk with a pocket knife!
