Stop in for a cup of coffee

It's classic early 60s TV drama. It has little to do with the actual Rt 66 but is more centered on the 'human condition' of the period. I always liked watching it. It's a perspective from a different era. I think you will find it interesting.

Cool, thanks, I thought so, I am sentimental for those simpler times.

Was trying to get the Journey done earlier. Put the coolant recovery tank on last night and drained it. Supposed to be near 10qt system. Got maybe 6. Blew air in overflow and through disconnected upper hose. Got at least another qt.
Got the zerex g-05 and distilled water today. Filled with water and ran it to flush. Drained that. Broke a spring type hose clamp when I tried to put hose back on again . So that ended that for the night.
Any good way to drain more out. Seams I am not getting 2-3qts...

Which engine? There may be an engine block drain plug. I'm sure that's where most of it is sitting.

If you can't drain it out, diluting with distilled water, running and draining repeatedly is the next best option.

I felt like doing a little "old photo colorizing" to take my mind off this sinus bug.

Here's what I started with...

And here's where I ended up...

It's a 3.5, I think I will run another DW flush. I see in the book that if you have 3rd zoneheat, that adds another 2qt. I don't have that, but made me think the regular dual zone may be holding most of what I am missing. I ran the heat during flush so its cycling. Just might not be draining. If there is another plug, I doubt I could even get to it doing this on the garage floor. I will look online later today, since its down till I get another clamp.

I am getting ready to do some sandblasting today .....

assuming I can get the nozzle in the blast cabinet to work

Good morning Coffee critters
