It could be. And I think it will be. Not sure where to start, though. As usual. Maybe mount the calipers - finally.Sounds like a beer, pizza and car day

Oh, I'm sure. It's a very sturdy bench, too. It is way too heavy for me to carry it by myself, even with the legs removed. Probably 100 pounds. I'm planning on replacing the fiber board with steel plate so I can weld on it.That will not take long I bet.
The ones I see are usually made up of 6-inch strips full of holes, like modular fixtures. I'm thinking just a 1/4" plate, though. Simple.Ever see how the welding tables are made? Bunch of flat metal strios on end usually aluminum so the welds do not stick to it.
Morning folks. I'm happy to see Friday's sexy self show up. Been a long week.
I use a metal blade on a hand held circular saw works great.Hm. Lighter, that's for sure. My main concern will be either getting a large piece of sheet metal home or getting it cut to (roughly) the right size at the getting place.
Oh, cutting it shouldn't be any problem, the problem will be getting a 10x6 foot sheet of 1/4" steel home ...I use a metal blade on a hand held circular saw works great.
That's a familiar feeing with me too lolIt could be. And I think it will be. Not sure where to start, though. As usual. Maybe mount the calipers - finally.
Motivation isn't a factor usually. It's find where to start lolWhat I do to stay motivated is make a list of what is needed and cross them off when it is completed, actually motivates me.
No, but I have to buy a whole sheet unless they happen to have a scrap piece that is the right size. It's a wholesaler in Gothenburg. They do cut up for customers but a whole sheet is HEAVY. The only sheet metal I can buy that is of reasonable size is too thin and the price is ten times higher in a regular hardware store. That table is that big?
A lot of the time I end up doing little side projects that don't get me any closer to the goal at all.Motivation isn't a factor usually. It's find where to start lol
Hmm yeah I might give it a tryA lot of the time I end up doing little side projects that don't get me any closer to the goal at all.
I think a list would be a great idea.
another thing I do is flag stuff that needs attention with flagging tape, really feels good to rip it off when it is done, looks impossible at first with all the streamers but it is great when there are just a few. Ron is actually doing the same on his
Monte Calo. We slapped the frane together quick but still needs to be finished and some bolts torked.
