Should have kicked him out for dress code violations lolGood morning, day off, yay! It was worth it being open Sunday, we made money, a funny thing happened. A few months ago I had a guest Mr. Barnes who absolutely hated me. Emailed demanding his tip be reversed even. He is one of those ridiculous guests who wants to make a huge production out of ordering a bottle of wine and expects your rapt attention while he babbles just to hear himself talk, and I was very busy and couldn't fawn over him. He likes this young waiter Brett who ironically gets lots of complaints. Anyway, no one realized who this reservation for 6 people was, and the wives came in first and sat down, then the husbands slipped in wearing jeans (a trick to get around the dress code)and I completely forgot I had served this guy before. He wanted to see the sommelier, I apologized that she was off, and I reassured him I'd be able to find him a Burgundy that fit all the requirements he described, and I did. Then, I see him up front talking to the manager, who comes and tells me "That's that crazy Mr. Barnes who hates you! He says you talk to him like he's a five year old." I sent Brett over to jabber with him and in the end he seemed happy....we'll see! Now it is in the computer system he does not want me to serve him. I love it when I make a lasting impression!
My book shows it as a 70 440 3 2bbl AT, there is a core on ebay right now for around 700.
