Stop in for a cup of coffee

don't get me wrong - I love my old car, my old scoot - and would own an older truck in a heartbeat - - but I still HAVE to have something newer

and? has the fuel pump failed yet? mine did on my 97 GMC - God what a PITA THAT was!

Fuel pump - done... Alternator - done...

I have an O2 sensor that needs to be replaced, it's running a little rich...

I mostly use it for hauling my car stuff and towing my cars... Not a daily driver...

I like the older trucks also, I specifically went out and got this one with the last year of the vortec 5.7... My old beater 95 5.7 made 250,000, I sold it for $1700 to a guy who used it for a snow plow... Fixed the body, rebuilt the trans when it went out, and sold it after three years asking $5000... That dam 350 can take some ****...

So I searched for a 5.7 in that generation with under 100 k. I found a really nice one with 72 k on it and bought it... Drove it to 110 k and got t-boned in Detroit...

Then found another twin to that one, both 98 with 5.7 4x4, trailer tow, ext cab, teal color, with 90 k... They are so identical, only one digit in the VIN before the sequence number is different... the first nicer one had electronic transfer case, and the current one has manual transfer case...

After getting t-boned and towing the first one home, I drove it to the car wash and had it washed... Then came back an hour later in the replacement one without any dents in it and the cashier in at the car wash booth was amazed that my body man had fixed it that fast.... I told her that it was the same truck I was in earlier, but fixed... They look so similar she believed it...

I thought for sure I would miss the 5.7 - but that 5.3 is a great engine and today's engineering with the SMART technology and all.. never even noticed a difference - except in my wallet - I have more $$

What kind of mileage do they get??

it's not like I have a 6" lift in it though - 1.5" leveling kit up front. 1.5" body lift and the tires are only 31's or 32's...

true story - I went to Miami Fl. many years ago for my best friends wedding - - the day before it they had a party on the beach, I walked down there in my boots and jeans... kicked off the boots and socks and rolled up the jeans as high as I could - "hey, shorts!!!"

Hello friends.

This renovation is going from bad to worse. And I hate doing things 'good enough'. I've made a promise to my wife that I will, though. We keep finding more chewed up floorboards.

We may have seen the last of it but ...

The kids are helping - they're getting paid - and it is so much fun! We're all together and we're all enjoying it. It's fantastic!

Good morning you Mopar Maniacs

Im curious, whats a core 440 block bare going for these days? I know I got a deal but kind of curious to just how good a deal

I get an average of 16.5 - I could do better but I tend to be heavy footed at times

plus I have it lifted and bigger tires on it

The first teal 98 that I had got 16.7 on the highway, the second teal one gets 16.3 MPG...

the only difference aerodynamically that I can think of is the old one had bar steps on the side and the second one has full steps which may cause some extra drag... And then you have one engine just runs better than another in production...

10 below or 110 above, I am always in my work boots, my blue jeans, a t-shirt and a cap... drives my wife crazy!!! LOL
Lmao! I don't own a pair of tennis shoes! Pretty much wear my Redwing loggers everywhere. if we go out to dinner they get a fresh polish. lol Only 3 things where I don't wear jeans and a tee. Court, funerals, and weddings, but ever then it's a dressier pair of Redwings. lol
