Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yesterday the alternator shorted out killing the battery stranding my wife and daughter. It started making a loud whining noise the day before and she didn't have a chance to get it into the shop before it died.

With my work schedule, I didn't have the time to check it out when the noise started.

At least it was just an alternator only that's not so hard to replace...

Nearly. They had it diagnosed it by 11 am today and had the work done by 2 pm. They also cross-checked the PCM and secondary control modules to make sure the alternator frying didn't do damage to any other systems. All checked out fine.

When I was married, we were in the car and I heard a whining noise... :realcrazy:

After I dropped her off, it was gone....

Nope. They would need to be convicted before they can be pardoned according to the DoJ.

"Under the Constitution, only federal criminal convictions, such as those adjudicated in the United States District Courts, may be pardoned by the President. Under the Department of Justice's rules governing petitions for executive clemency, 28 C.F.R. §§ 1.1 et seq., an applicant must satisfy a minimum waiting period of five years before he becomes eligible to apply for a presidential pardon of his federal conviction. The waiting period, which is designed to afford the petitioner a reasonable period of time in which to demonstrate an ability to lead a responsible, productive and law-abiding life, begins on the date of the petitioner's release from confinement. Alternatively, if the conviction resulted in a sentence that did not include any form of confinement, including community or home confinement, the waiting period begins on the date of sentencing."

So IF convicted they would have to serve 5 years before being eligible for a pardon... :mob:

(I don't think that is the escape out that they are looking for...) :BangHead:

Maybe he's confusing being president with being KING.... :realcrazy:

Self destruction...

Yeah, alternator and battery. Quick and easy and not very expensive.

The GC is a real creampuff, bought new in April 2004 (2005 model) Inferno Red with leather interior, Stow-N-Go seats and all options except sunroof. 3.8L V6 and only has 75k miles on it. The body and interior are perfect. The tow truck driver tried to talk me into selling it to him.

That one went through under my watch...

I did alot to help improve the quality on those...

My ex had one with a 3.8 L that made 250,000 and they traded it in...

If built and maintained correctly, those will last a long time...

Watch the driver's side shock tower on those mini vans... The hydrogen given off from the battery corrodes the shock tower... It's such a common problem that there are patches available to fix it... The left one will go out, and the right one will be fine...

I took down some old gutters yesterday and they went into it, but now I am thinking "hey, it says no mattresses or tires" on the side of it, but that's it. I looked up the co. and their web site says from house repairs to basement clean-outs, we got you covered.. I think I am going to test that.
