Thanks, nothing I can do about the decals though.

Have you tried to contact some of the members that do decals on the forum here???

@2darts sent me some decals a few years back and he does a nice job... I think he does custom decals... Maybe he can make you some copies....

Looking good Ray...

Thats pretty neat to be have been a part of history. my grandfather was part of the German Luffwafte.

My grand mother and her 2 sisters came over from Germany in the 30's. Their brother, my great uncle, came over after the war with serial # tattoo. None would ever talk about it, or religion other then my uncle helping them with fare to get to the US. They all took their secrets to their grave. Nothing was ever discussed with my father either.

Have you guys noticed any stubbornness on that side of the family???

My mom's father was the MOST stubborn person to walk the earth, he was 100% German... :mob:

Is there any connection there???? :realcrazy:

That generation was like that...

Don't talk about it and keep everything bottled up...

Always show your strong side, never reveal any weakness....
The only other thing that was ever said by my uncle was how they would hide the young-ins inside false floors and walls, inside furniture etc.

No Had to ge
That's spray bomb hammertone? matches pretty good.
it special from Sherman Williams PIA to spray it is like maple syrup, you cannot thin it or it goes smooth, believe me I tried it. I want water transfer decals, I am actually thinking of making some small silk screens for the common stuff on all the machines, looks pretty east, print it out on film, rinse it off and mount it on a frame. Might try it on the 1940's test sets, I think I will just do them and the 820's since I have spare parts.

My fathers side was 100% german, he actually did the geneology back to the 1300's, pretty interesting it is on ancestery.com under Warren Brenner.

We did some silk screen printing in graphic arts back in high school...

You could take a picture of the design that you wanted, then process it in the film room (They had a black room back then...) and then take the negative and burn the image into a film with a very bright light machine.... then use that film on a silk screen to make your image... We did some printing on 12 x 12 mirrors...

The hammertone in a can. Didn't know it was available.
HD has the standard colors in quarts for around 15, SW had this color only in a gallon though, guy gave it to me for half since I set up a business account and also threw me four quart cans.

same her in industrial arts, I guess they have the emulsion that you cam print out on a ink jet still looking into it, good for the on/off and warnings that are on most of them.

Chris look at the white writing on the red on the dist machine you will see what I want to get close.
