I dont think they liked it when I said I'm looking for 20,000 a month after taxes to go back to work there
Yeah, I know. It's all good.Don't beat yourself up about it, Anders, it's progress and hey it's good to have some time by oneself.
I do not think it matters.Yeah, I know. It's all good.
Say, I'm down there now putting my intake on. Which side goes against the heads? Mr gasket.

Thanks buddy.I do not think it matters.
trim a little bit to fit, yeahThanks buddy.
I suppose I should cut these to fit? As you can see, there's a tab on the head gasket that sticks out. I need to clear that or cut it off.

No, they go in the slot in the cork part, Dont cut those, they will compress. You might have to punch out the cutout in the cork. Thanks buddy.

hmm i had to trim mine. mine didnt have any slots. Felpro setView attachment 1715080820
See the slots? Those tabs fit in there.
Well, I guess I'm too fast as usual. The thing is, I have a fel-pro head gasket on one side and the original Fitzco on the other. And the intake kit is from Mr Gasket. So none of it fits together.View attachment 1715080820

Why so negative?Don't forget RTV in the corners or it WILL leak! RTV black works best.
Rule 1: never rush an engine build...Why so negative?
I don't have any RTV and this thing is only going together because I decided I WILL go for a test drive before it snows. Then the engine and trans anew coming out for paint, them and the engine bay.
Ha ha! Well, I'm only putting the intake on. And that tab I cut off the head gasket? Fell down past the camshaft ...Rule 1: never rush an engine build...
Rule 2: Screw rule one, ROADKILL it!
oopsHa ha! Well, I'm only putting the intake on. And that tab I cut off the head gasket? Fell down past the camshaft ...
Oh well, like I said, it's not staying together for long ...
Seems like the bolts (yes, I found them) are ... diversified?

If it was grass I would say green side up. With that it shouldn't matter.

yeah. Our country is making nuclear weapons like there's no tomorrow....
Thanks, I put the longest ones up front. They all caught well and are now elbow-torqued. Dinner time.Save the longest one for the front pass corner of the intake manifold near the heater hose nipple, that's a little hard to get started and the extra length helps..
I don't know if I'd use the shortest one...
