IDK why you are running a t-stat for a 10 min test run anyway.Judging by the outcome of all this, I'm starting to doubt the 'experts' on here ...

I really don't know how the cooling system of a car works. I do have coolant in the system, though. 50%, the blue kind.you didnt have your overflow connected, that would have prevented a gyser

I love it!Thanks! It's a 1975 Kawasaki MC1-M (90cc). The owner before me restored it and made it into a flat-track racer (similar to a Cafe Racer).
I love it!

its a low pressure system. The only thing the puke tank would do really though, is keep all that from spraying everywhere. It also lets the cap vent properly, especially if there was air in there. Ive always ran the engines without Thermostats and the cap off the radiator, roughly half full to start with, to help flush the air out of the block and system. I think Dave is probably right, full radiator and a big Air bubble, equaled geyser. Dont feel bad, I've had it happen tooI really don't know how the cooling system of a car works. Well, maybe 30% after all the water I've added.
Ha, I can imagine. Thanks, me too! I'm going to be selling it soon and hopefully the right person who appreciates these kind of bikes will buy it. It's a fun ride, yet a little uncomfortable lol.

So the puke tank would be pressurized too or should it be vented?its a low pressure system. The only thing the puke tank would do really though, is keep all that from spraying everywhere. The thought of a hose did cross my mind.of course I'm kidding - guess you should have run a hose off that opening to a catch can huh?
