ello guvners .......Morning to all

I had a thought in my sleep .......strange thought.

I wonder if the inland shifters are really as mushy as they are rumored to be ?

Most people don't mess with them and swap them out for a HURST. The Inland has the three little rubber bushings between the handle and mech.... I can see where they can flex especially when old and worn out.

I even heard a guy claim that he was power shifting and the inland flexed and he ended up punching the dash out. Not sure if I am into that but I wonder what most people with 67 and early 68 cars with the inland shifter would say about it.

I am not familiar with "Home" I saw Everest last week and a walk in the woods the week before. 2 good movies

Today is an awesome day .....I get to paypal a guy and get a 4 speed on its way down here for the Coronet :D:D:D:D:D :burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout:

Got sumpin done yesterday !!

well I am not sure yet because I need to decide if I am going console or not first then decide inland or hurst.

for the build date of the car, an inland would be the correct one ......but then on the other hand there is nothing correct about a wagon with a 4 speed and rally dash either.

I like the low maintenance approach of the hurst ....but then I was watching the bullit chase again and in one scene...you can actually see an Inland knob.

I can never keep my garage floor as clean as yours Mitch. What is your secret? I am not good at organizing.

Go with the Hurst Rani . You won't be sorry. Much better / stronger unit.

Hi Rani !!

hi ....GTS is looking great. The work these cars take is astronomical.

When I am working long hours on the car ....my dad laughs and says I could be working on the car or I could be busy doing a lot of other things that would not be so good. So he likes when I am busy for long stretches of time on the car LOL

But the Bullit Charger was not a wagon so you do not have to be period correct. I remember that movie in the theaters! Can you believe it? I went back 3 times to see it.

That floor you see actually has epoxy paint on it.Easy to keep kleen. Plus it is in the upper (clean) bay. Lemme see if I have a pic of the dirty part of the shop.

Cars vs Boys....as a dad I would be buying you annnny car you wanted! :burnout:

there is so little info about this car ......I wanted to know what gears it has and what kind of exhaust to make that wonderful music sound.

But info is very scarce. At one point it almost looked like an Auto.

I am hoping a 2.5 inch exhaust with the 10.5 - 1 compression through mufflers should make a similar sound ....maybe

I epoxied mine but it is peeling. I did it by the destructions. After pouring the floor I waited and waited before painting but it still lifted. I used Behr on this one but another one I used Sherwin Williams and it is still holding bu but I don't live there anymore.

I think I acid etched it before Epoxy. Mine was cured for 6 months first.

There is no way I could have a nice garage floor like that ....I still paint cars in my garage and the clear coat is soooo sticky and gets on everything. Its way too messy for a nice shop like that. My garage floor is still the 1970s green ...in spots, some has worn away and I have dropped paint and lacquer thinner on it ....so its ugly
