Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well the hall is painted and started getting the laminate in, pain in the *** getting the first row going with it going into the doorways, I want to use a thin threshold strip and I had to notch all the thresholds at the bottom to slide the laminate under. Thank god for a 4" grinder and cut off wheels.

I'm supposed to go help my friend Doug with his house later. He's getting off early at noon today to work on it.

I think we need to get the ceiling and walls painted.

then he can put the tile down on the floors and have the carpet installed in the other rooms...

He's trying to get it ready to move in by Nov... :violent1:

He's a little behind schedule, but we're trying to help him catch up... :burnout:

Morning Hops.. that floor should go down quick once the first row is in. hey have you had any morning frost yet. It was threatening last night and I still have hot peppers in the ground

He said "morning frost"... LOL! :D

Dam, double post....

I"m trying to save it...

How do you feel about the rectum as a whole???

I did not read through the entire thread....but willing to join in! (What are we doing/chatting about? Lol!)

Ters.

anything you want .....the demon in your avatar would make a good topic lol

I have a cousin who was living in Johannesburg but he recently moved to cape town.

He has nothing but good words about the area ....he really enjoyed his time there. He is a software engineer and his company moved him to Johannesburg where he was there for 2 years and now they moved him to Cape town.

Cape Town is definitely much better to live than Johannesburg.... I stay in Pretoria, even nicer than Jhb! The perception of "The City of Gold" has some historic influence.... People flocked from allover Africa to work in the gold mines there then. The financial/wealth hub has turned into a zest pool of foreigners, each with their own drugs and what-not.

The Demon in my Avatar is known as Valiant Charger in South Africa. Because of sanctions imposed during the 60's/70's/80's, SA had to rely on home grown ingenuity, or for the sake of an Automotive discussion enginuity. Lol!

Great place to chat about anything/everything! I have some questions regarding the US/Canada/Oz, without involving politics.... how this, that's. Not planning on emigrating, only curious?! Anyone have any questions about living in (South) Africa, feel free to ask...I will "enlighten" to the best of my ability!:D

Ters.

" I have some questions regarding the US/Canada/Oz" and Norway, Sweden, Austria etc.

good morning .....here I thought you were ignoring me for some unknown reason ......but thanks for stopping in and good morning to you.

for me its still night because its midnight here and I have not slept yet lol

Nope. No one is on my block or ignore list. Sometimes in threads I just forget to respond to people.

Good morning!

Looks like it is a three continent morning! Good to see you here, Ters! I'm new to this thread myself but I'm elbowing in more and more. :D

When my wife and I were in SA 15 years ago, we were lead to believe that down town Jo-burg was a really dangerous place so we never left their walled suburban garden the size of 1,5 soccer fields with tennis court and large pool... Cape Town was lovely though. Felt very European, not implying that that would be better than African, just that it was a little surprising. I had tons of preconceptions about SA. Most of them were plain wrong.

Keep in mind, SA models were released locally a year or two after their US cousins. Mine is known as a '73. Mine is far from sweet sir... no brakes, missing trim on C-pillar, a backyard dash etc... . She does sound sweet though, 225 with auto box.

Hehehe... ALL of Jhb is dangerous now! Africa is a lovely country to live in. Due to the nature of my work, I travel to many other African countries... Botswana (lovely!), Namibia (lovely!), Swaziland (lovely!), Mozambique (mmm...), Cameroon (....) etc. Must say, South Africa is HOME! Lol! Durban is my favorite though.

Namibia and Botswana are high on my bucket list. We're planning on taking our kids on a 3-4 week trip to Southern Africa when they are big enough to remember it (and we've saved enough money...) but getting our third child six years after the second sort of postponed that for a few years ...

The Kruger Park should be in everyone's bucket list, btw.
