pistol grips look awesome in the car but they are made for people with huge hands ....I had one in my dart for a short time but I didn't like it personally because it was actually too big for my hand. so I ended up going with the standard ball type and I have more secure shifts than with the pistol grip. If you haven't driven a pistol grip car yet, then you might find it to have an odd feel with the ergonomics of it.

My hands are big enuf to fit the pistol just fine, but I'm a little concerned with angle when it's in the car. Might make for odd angle. Planning on a white ball for the lil red car..

Bucket seats? or bench I have had a couple pistol grips in the past so I know my big paws will fit. I don't have any advice on the angle. I bought Rani's old one, well we made a trade so I know it will fit when I get it in.

Where did she go? She is the Guru here. I need to get ready for work. Finally it's Friday

I actually found the only car that makes a difference between buckets or bench is the 71-4 B-body. Now that I have the 73 coronet wagon I have been digging up info and trying to learn more about 71-4 B-bodies because I never paid attention before.

Its seems when you have buckets with or without the console in 71-4 B ....you use the rear shift mount (e-body) so it sets the shifter farther back on the tunnel.

If it has a bench then you use the front (b-body) mount so that it sets it farther forward on the tunnel to clear the bench.

Also I found that 71-4 B never used any shifter except pistol grip.

I am still learning

Well everyone asks "are you going to work on your car....Heck no thats play!

Why not trade for a bigger set of hands???
