The morning pint, latte that is. The day can begin now. There was a chance last night that there would be no way to get out of or into southern California without chains. I wonder how that turned out?

hey Tim that offer still open on the Dakota parts? The sale did not go through and he wants to fix it now, have to get it on the lift and look at it good today.
He will still have someone telling what to do...His WIFE! :rofl:
 
Mornin Tim. 101 still closed until at least Monday. Guard rails knocked down, thousands of tons of mud and boulders. A righteous mess it is. That's just the situation in Santa Barbara/Montecito, there are more issues to the south of that the local news doesn't seem to cover.

Figured...HWY 101 is a real mess, all up the coast, I can see the day it is either rebuilt, or just closed all together, go thru Ojai on 166 to the 33. Or up north the 5
 
Morning guys. Sounds like you all have lots going on. Temp is in the low 40's and the sun is out. I might have to go for a walk later to brighten my mood. Before I retired I was outside every day. Now i spend a lot of time inside when it's 0° outside. I need to change that. Fresh air and sunshine does help.

They have and are making improvements in the Santa Barbara area. One of them currently under construction which could be under that mess now. The people using 166 as a bypass aren't helping matters any. Seems like one per day it's shut own due to an accident. Judging from their behavior when I used it last week, probably due to unwise driving decisions.

Wtf?? For once i would like to buy a part that would actually fit.
82 engine,manual crankshaft and flexplate no go? What now? Or is a slanty. Smaller bolt pattern?

Flex plate has 6 holes.
Crank has 8. Insert expletives here ( )

Dunno.....just checked my hat, it doesent say f-me on it. So why?
 
Need to figure out a vendor/part number first.

also make sure that you have the correct torque converter bolt pattern. they come in 10" & 11" diameter pattern for where the flex plate to torque converter bolts....

Measure your converter and match that to get the proper flex plate...

Exactly what is this engine,. V8 , v6 , year, what did I come out of body line? All V8 listings are 6 bolt crank, 8 bolt on 4 and 6 cyl.
Looking in my transtar book now trying to I'd correct flex plate and convertor application for you

Too many questions i have no answer to.
318 circa 1982. From? Was removed from a car it never belonged in.
Based on casting numbers its a factory replacement shortblock. Flat top pistons.
Reason im using it is its clean and shows very little wear.
Mating it to a 904.
My local parts guy found a part number,will know monday if i can get one.
