Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'll throw out something to think about. I heard a guy in my area has a numbers matching 69 Super Bee 440 6-pack four speed. He's pulling the engine putting in a 520's something hemi motor.

Why do people do that?? I could see it if it was a car you pulled out of the pasture. People who've seen it says it is a nice car.

I feel we need to preserve cars like that...JMO.

I hate it when stuff like this happens. I broke a piece off Luke's test block. A little drop of super glue will fix it but......

Sometimes I am a klutz.

17 years after I sold my Parts Stores, I can still purchase from a few of my old vendors. One is my Tool Supplier. Tool Web. The other is Robert Elgart Distributors, out of Philly. I can order all my chemicals and motor oils and greases , and much more. They deliver free to me on a lift gate truck. We used to spend 10K a month with them. So they still like me, even if I only buy 5-600 every few months. This is how they ship it. Got this order yesterday.

I didn't sever ties with my non mac suppliers either. I could get back in the tool business part time if I wanted. Naw! I'm having too much fun being retired (retarded) and summer isn't even here yet. The wife likes it too. I get little things done for her and she is happy with that.

Timmer! How's things on the left coast?
Going good, warm today, 80 degrees. 66 tomorrow... Getting parts together to rebuild the front suspension on my 69 "Vert. Have 1 inch torsion bars, a Helwig anti sway bar, lower arms coming, going to weld the stiffeners on AND I want larger brakes, BUT getting to be a pain. 12 inch I want.

What a difference a half decent nigh’s sleep makes. Feeling a tad better.
Back is sore from laying around for the day, but i think i can get over that pretty easy.

Looks like a couple inches of snow fell overnight,so plowing to do today too.

Glad you are feeling better...

We were awoken last night at 2:32 am by a call from the local police. My brother-in-law had a massive heart attack and they were rushing him to the hospital.

He apparently made his way to a neighbors apartment and pounded on the door before going into cardiac arrest. The neighbor didn’t know what was going on and called 911 to report the incident. When police arrived he was unresponsive, no pulse or breathing. They performed CPR and used a AED to get his heart going again.

Upon arrival at the hospital he was still unresponsive and they couldn’t get him to regain consciousness. They immediately put him in ICU, intubated him and pumped him with drugs to sedate and immobilize his muscles and iced him down to lower his body temp to 90*.

Now he sits as a popsicle until tomorrow and then they warm him back up and see if he has any chance at surviving. Nobody knows how long he was in arrest before they got to him but for every minute the survival chances drop by 10%. He’s probably got less than a 50/50 chance at survival and less than a 30% chance of not having severe brain damage.

His condition is now minute by minute and we won’t know where anything stands until he survives the next 48 hours and they can begin really testing. Right now, the only focus is to keep him alive until then.

Helluva day.

I hope he comes out of it ok...

About 3” of light fluffy snow, easy to plow, but busy today. Will have to wait til tonight. That reminds me,my backup camera quit. I miss it.

As much as we complain about salt eating our cars, it does keep the road safer.
here,
they dont use salt per say. This is some sort of sodium liquid thing. It still is corrosive as heck but I think it's worse than salt and it sprays in places that the salt never gets into as easily
