Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ddaddy .. what's his name? .. He's goin on the prayer list.
If you want to pray for him, pray that the Lord takes him so he can finally be out of the pain his entire life has been for him. Better he goes now, unconscious, than if he goes later in a far more brutal end.

His name is Ben.

May he find peace , either here or in Gods house.

Far North? North of Manitoba? Tailgate for his canine drawn pickup? Don't laugh at me just because I'm from SoCal. I lived in Brandon for 3 months while my father worked on a slip-form concrete grain silo. One of the best summers ever. I've seen Lake Winnepeg, one of the most spectacular sights I've ever seen. I tried to get the parental units to leave me there, no luck. They said it would screw up there income taxes . Take care of yourself Tool. It's not like any flu I've ever had. It kinda showed me why the flu kills people.
From Thompson,10-12 hour drive. I built a few when i worked for conservation, now that i left, the still want me designing/building them.

His life, his choices. I'm sure it's tough going thru this but hopefully he pulls thru and comes out 100 percent healthy.
Even if he survives, he will never be healthy. He has so badly damaged himself since the transplant that he has been hanging on by a thread...and it’s fraying.

He was in ICU for 6 weeks from Thanksgiving past Christmas for kidney failure and other acute complications and when they released him to go to rehab care...he refused and went back to his apartment. Two weeks later and here we are.

If he doesn’t die this time, it will only be a matter of weeks before the next thing comes knocking.

We spent 4 years of our life supporting him financially and emotionally to get to the transplant and he has done nothing but wreck himself since. He is beyond all hope of ever being a reformed and thankful person who wants to enjoy the gift he was given.

The worst part is thinking about those that may have died hoping and praying for the liver he got.

I know. I wish I had the words to make it alright. Honestly sounds like it's best for all if he goes peacefully. Such a shame. Still though, I shall pray for him

Hey Dave. @Ddaddy been a while since you've posted any of your latest picture creations, have you had time to work on any?

I have a few, but mostly I have been preoccupied with Ben and my Fathers health issues. Work is also completely crazy right now.

Let me see what I have and I will post some.

Cool cool no rush. Just thought it might help to get you focused on something other than the negative stuff. Repaying the favor(s)

Here’s one I did recently...

I have been playing a lot of Scrabble against the “expert” computer program as a way of keeping sharp and not dwelling on the negative since before Christmas.

So far I have beaten the computer 231 out of 300 games.

That’s a 77% win rate.

I’m going to try to push that up over 80% if I can.

What a difference a half decent nigh’s sleep makes. Feeling a tad better.
Back is sore from laying around for the day, but i think i can get over that pretty easy.

Looks like a couple inches of snow fell overnight,so plowing to do today too.

Glad to see you are feeling better, I set in a chair and stand up ( do this for one minute) up and down to get my lower back ready for the day, nothing is worse then a weak lower back that can keep us down , warm that back up before you get on that rocking tractor

We were awoken last night at 2:32 am by a call from the local police. My brother-in-law had a massive heart attack and they were rushing him to the hospital.

He apparently made his way to a neighbors apartment and pounded on the door before going into cardiac arrest. The neighbor didn’t know what was going on and called 911 to report the incident. When police arrived he was unresponsive, no pulse or breathing. They performed CPR and used a AED to get his heart going again.

Upon arrival at the hospital he was still unresponsive and they couldn’t get him to regain consciousness. They immediately put him in ICU, intubated him and pumped him with drugs to sedate and immobilize his muscles and iced him down to lower his body temp to 90*.

Now he sits as a popsicle until tomorrow and then they warm him back up and see if he has any chance at surviving. Nobody knows how long he was in arrest before they got to him but for every minute the survival chances drop by 10%. He’s probably got less than a 50/50 chance at survival and less than a 30% chance of not having severe brain damage.

His condition is now minute by minute and we won’t know where anything stands until he survives the next 48 hours and they can begin really testing. Right now, the only focus is to keep him alive until then.

Helluva day.

Just read this. Praying for him right now!

NOBODY is too far gone to be saved by the love of God. NOBODY. I will pray not only for his healing, but for his salvation.
