Yup... Everyday is a new Adventure....at least for that last 17 yrs... LOL
I thought you were still working....or are the repair jobs on your schedule??
You got to keep busy doing something. I retired and played gold almost everyday for eight years. Got the 55 a couple years ago, and then the 67 last year, and the golf game has fallen to the back burner, or even off the stove..lol. Between the honey do list, chores around the house, grandkids, gym, and cars I have plenty to do.

Any chance anyone has one set of these around? 38-49 nash

I built a 35x45 shop at my house in 2000, when I was selling my Businesses. Had to have somewhere to go hide from Wifey. Built it for my own use, but it kinda morphed into part time side jobs, mostly for people from my Church, so they don't get ripped off at the local repair shops. Might have 2, sometimes 3 small gravy jobs a week. I send all the BS stuff to one of my old customers.. I like BRAKES, Axles, PM's , ETC, easy stuff..

Ha, I have a golf game tomorrow at Enterprise Golf Course. Was the residence of the first Commander of the USS Enterprise. Newton White was his name. The Newton White Mansion still stands there , by the course. Should be sunny and 65 here, tomorrow...

Nice need to open the doors in the shop and do a good cleaning out with a leaf blower!

Chris must be out pulling his Polara! A few bucks and time would fix his brakes but he wants to go disc. My question would be why? For now anyway. Several of my yard buggies have NO brakes.
no, chris went to work...

Here's the thing about this whole drum to disc thing. First, I have everything, brand new except for the A body spindles already from my dart. I'm not using those now because of the Gerst suspension and the brakes it came with. So the stuff, new master cylinder, new pads, rotors, calibers, hoses and dust shields along with new wheel bearings are sitting in a box collecting dust. Spindles run about 100 bucks on here when they pop up. so at most, I'd have 100 bucks in them. To rebuild the front drums with all new parts. It'd cost me 230 bucks plus shipping from rock auto. So I may as well use what I have already on hand, just spend the 100-150 for spindles and have upgraded brakes while saving a few bucks. Bolt pattern is the same, both 5x4.5 so the wheels work either way.

Now that's front only, the rear will stay drum and be rebuilt as I'd have to convert the axle from the tapered axles to a post 66 axle which means close to a grand or more. So the drums win out back as the cost for the rear stuff is about 150 bucks. plus the new parking brake cable which i'll have to source.

Question... would you guys be hesitant about buying an intake manifold that's been filled with epoxy and then had the runners machined/blended?

There is a kid over here whos dad has a farm junkyard he is about 10 drives everything there!

Think I will go up to the tags place in a bit and do the antique reg on the Duster. I still need to decide if I will put an old plate on or get the regular 'antique' one. I have my Dads 'Bicentennial State' plate that was used from 71 to 76. It's in excellent condition. Kinda don't want to use it and chance it getting messed up. Also found out they basically charge you double. It looks like antique reg is $78 and then another $78 to use your own plate. F'n robbery. :mob: One advantage of using my plate would be (I think)I can drive it right away. (It's going to be really nice tomorrow ...) They don't have the antique plates there. Have to wait to get that by mail I believe.

Really they do not have them there? I still have to get up there and do mine prob after the 1st. They open today? There are other fees also title, and a 5 local usage tax think it was 140 all together, they definitely get you but in two years it is basically free and no inspections to boot!

I go up the street to Runkles. They are an ‘official’ tag place. They have told me before that they don’t have those plates there.
