We all have to learn stuff. Whether its self taught or book learnin.
The internet now has us believin 400 horsepower is doable in a 4 cylinder honda.

I learned the hard way, busted knuckles and bleeding forehead
Followed with a lot of dirt in my eyes. Or coolant or atf or the worst-carb cleaner.you havent learnt nuthin til you find out how painful carb cleaner in the eye is.
The only thing worse in the eye in my experience was a tiny piece of bondo that was still curing. I had to aim a garden hose directly at my open eye to get it out!

We drive Mopars, we dont use no stinkn BONDO!!!

I checked everything, starts like crap, wont come off choke all the way...when its warm it wont idle right. I tried everything. Except one-putting base-gasket /insulator back before installing carb.

DID YOU KNOW....a chevy vortec will run with one of the distributor connectors off? Neither did i.

Didn't they have a recall on the front fenders for rust issues?

I had one, What a freakin ugly car!!
Mine looked like this...

It got me around town, but I swear those things would rust to oblivion just sitting in a dry garage.
You should have seen the rust bucket Vega I had!!! It was so rusty there was no place left to ground anything! Head light would not work, had to run grounds to the battery!
