These winds are really testing the ‘66 cover and straps. I lost two clips on two of the 4 cord straps. I found one and got it back on but the other one is out in the snow somewhere. I tied that strap to the tailpipe on the other side. I hope it all holds until I can get it tied up properly again tomorrow.

Home made (not home distilled) Take a 150 proof bottle of Everclear and add a bottle of distilled water. Throw in a 1/4 cup of toasted oak chips per pint and let it get happy for a couple weeks. You have a fairly smooth whisky that you can drink on ice. 75 proof. Not bad. A $13 bottle and a few chips and you have a $7 bottle of nice stuff.
