Well that window channel will not work out on that project, prob make a frame out of oak or something. Really want to put that thing to bed it is in the way. Time to dust off the router table and the dado blades I guess. I have not played with wood in a while. (go for it)
 
I do have a large hunk of purple heart that would look great but was kind of saving it for two gun stocks, stuff is hard as hell you cannot even drive a nail into it.

That's a nice WOOD, but yes it is hard as hell.
And expensive.
 
We actually used it in Kuwait for construction. Got a really nice piece back 4x16x36 or so. Never going to use it that is one for the right guy prob weighs 50 lbs. Perfect for a hunting rifle.

We used this wood , called Alghorobo, in Argentina. Built some roof joists and door frames of it. Had to drill and screw every fastener...

@memike the garage looks great, which it was in my backyard. Talking to a guy this morning at coffee about building one for me. Home building is great here and finding someone to do the little jobs is tough right now. Victoria is coming along!!

@RainyDayAuto did you see the nice Duster for sale in Colorado Springs. It was on page 1 this morning. I'd be tempted if I had room.
 
I hide my car money or it would get spent on stupid stuff. Come on car parts are serious business!
 
So whats everyone up to today? Prob hit the distribs pretty hard 3 months to Carlisle!
 
Got 41 degrees this morning. Weather liars say 80 this afternoon.. Should be a good garage day.. But I'll probably just sit there and drink!
