Those things kick *** work on single wire fine if you know how to use them. Saved me hundreds of hours chasing short/opens/strands on aircraft.
Uhh yea... I meant as a test.I would do it right and change the wires that would look like *** in there and we are still not sure what the issue is.
Why put a hole in the insulation to create future problems?Uhh yea... I meant as a test.
I don't make a habit of doing it unnecessarily, but gotta test somehow. Open insulation at wire ends all over the place don't hurt anything...And the pickup is replaceable if I FU the wires. would be worth it to find the problem for sure. Might try to find a new 5pin connector for the ecu. That is definitely on my suspect list. Why put a hole in the insulation to create future problems?
Hi Dave!I think I’m talking to myself here...
If it happens again, swap in a new ECU and you will have your answer after about 45 seconds of work.
MP sells the whole harness for 40 dist plug to the ecu and the power wires.I don't make a habit of doing it unnecessarily, but gotta test somehow. I do that a lot too... I find myself to be a quite interesting coversationalist...I think I’m talking to myself here...
Will do. I agree that would be about 90% likely ECU. But an open anywhere - in the coil,pick-up or even an intermittent wire could act the same when warmed up.Here is a easy pass fail first thing tomorrow morning see if it starts after saoking in the cold, if not then try it around noon, if it starts then it is the ecu and get a good mopar one on order. It was around freezing when we had no spark then it was warmer when it did, not out of the possibility.
Me too but in front of a mirror, is that still a one way conversation?I do that a lot too... I find myself to a quite interesting coversationalist...
Nothing wrong with it at all, passed the tests and always had a hell of a spark just ask Keith! You guys swapped coils?
No sir. If you respond to you when you talk to you.... it's a two way conversation. I should know, I just told myself so.Me too but in front of a mirror, is that still a one way conversation?
No. But the biotch was throwing a spark an inch long! I held too close to the end of the wire once and got bit.You guys swapped coils?
Pick up is out did it with both of them, seriously try it in the morning that was one of our troubleshooting tools on the 130's. Took out the wiring then it was a box somewhere. Will do. Yeh, broke *** me hasn't got a spare yet. But it will happen soonView attachment 1715151897 Trust me I wish we had one.
