Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Drinking coffee so I can stay awake until 10pm or so. This time change sucks already. I can't see at night and tomorrow will be pitch black on the way to work.

One problem was after it was running we could not get it to fail again. Prob is temps and the ecu. Was a 20 degree difference fom beginning to end. Just frusterighting.
Like anything else it's near impossible to catch an intermittent. Till it gets worse.

There's a really hot woman working at the local WalMart. Has the most infectious smile I've ever seen. I tried to get a picture but she called me creepy.. Go figure.. And I didn't even ask her about her undergarments...

I don’t understand that. Tonight at 10 pm will be the same as last night was at 9 pm. You will be going to bed an hour earlier than normal tonight.

Some people! Just no sense of humor. LMAO

With a TDR there Is a learning curve!
I was good with them the ones we had had a crt scope and a Battery pack. Only ones approved for aircraft since some idiot used one on the fuel tank probes and it did not end up well. I used to do a class on them wit coax, single wire twisted pairs etc, had rolls set up with faults in them for the tests, was pretty cool watching the light go on when the figured it out. Geve them a 5% tolerance on the distances.

So, it will tell good wire lenth to pinpoint where it is open? how accurate. I mean the entire run isn't that long...
Depends on the unit and the scale can be inches or feet, pretty cool and accurate you can see splices, connections, shorts etc and the distance away from the tester. Load test will tell us fast if there is a issue. Just not where.

Now the real question is what were you wearing?

Only issue with a load light is if it is down to strands somewhere the wont be strands any more depending on the load.

Reactions in public may not be the same as you are used to in the van.

I have seen it all on wiring on aircraft, some really stupid stuff like the white zip ties used on bundles (they rub through and black don't) to ac and dc wires in the same runs giving transient signals, and the best find ever we were having compass problems on one of the talons in a right hand turn only. Took months to find this one on the ground low and behold the wires that went to a device called a flux valve (yes seriously) it takes the magnetic field of the earth and transforms it into a signal very low dc voltage, well one of the wires was not secured properly and in a right hand turn would get near a generator wire. I was a ******* hero finding that one even Lockheed could not find the problem.

Here is where it is strange distrib out turn it and good spark when on and also cranking, put it back in no good. Just made no sense did it numerous times. I was thinking during a load cranking but same good spark just when either was in no spark. Should not need a dist ground with a pickup but grounded it out also no change. Just a weird one. Got it just no idea of the cause told keefer to drive it close to home for a while (within free towing area) and see if it does it again if it does then I would prob throw a ecu at it.
That sounds like a break in the wire or right at the wire terminal - move the wire around it connects just enough? But you said the wires looked good so ????

Did the move push pull no fail, has to be temps and the ecu now that I walked away from it. The only weird *** thing was spark turning the distrib out and not in. Two different ones.

Never owned a Jeep, but friends have them and seem quite reliable. Think he just has one with too many issues.
Reliable if you can figure out all the little stuff that goes... LOL
The basics are pretty solid, but like any old vehicle that's been used alot - electric - vacuum - filters - fuel lines ... I was only joking about a Jeep like mine - it would drive Chris bonkers.
