Stop in for a cup of coffee

I’m trying to hang on at work, but it just keeps getting harder to take. Only 6 more weeks to the last of the retention bonuses...but since it’s 25% of my base pay, I don’t want to walk away before I get it.

After that, all bets are off since I will be working at an effective 30% pay cut for the rest of the year with no annual raise and no performance bonus coming at the end of the year.

Some of my quiet inquires are percolating up so perhaps I will have another option by then...I hope.

Otherwise, I may just take the Summer off while I look for another gig. I am about at my tolerance limit on this one. The CEO keeps telling me things that he has just barely learned that I already know and am expert in...like they are new information that I need to suddenly pay attention too.

His universe expands while mine remains the same. I’ve seen this act before and it always ends in failure. I trust my instincts and 30 years of experience to back them up...and it’s time to move on.

I need to get off fabo ..... been buying too much and spending like an ***.

Parts are piling up at home, but I have not had time to assemble it all

Just when I say, enough, I am not buying anything else. ...a seller will come up with a smashing deal.

I waiting on pics from a member for the latest bank account drain LOL
You see the 66 Valiant for sale near me? 2800.00

Sounds like a good plan Dave. Hang in there - try to be amused by it rather than insulted and fwustwated.

I’m trying, but it’s easier said than done.

I’m in the middle of trying to supply 2 clinical manufacturing campaigns, a pre-clinical animal study and do development for all three at the same time....alone. I’m climbing steeply up hill on a narrow path with a 300 lb backpack and the CEO keeps throwing rocks in my path and poking my *** with a stick.

If I make it the 6 weeks, it will be by sheer will alone.

Oh I'm sure of that. I'm hardly a master of that. And once they get under your skin its that much harder to reset your inner mind to view it in a different perspective.

Hey Guy and Gals - If any of you have rear view mirrors for '67 -'70 non-convertibles, I'd be appreciative of what they look like and how long the stem is.
I started a thread about them a few years ago, but it didn't get much traction.
Review Mirror Variations?

I will try to take a pic of my ‘69 tomorrow if I remember. Remind me if I don’t.

Dave, hang in there. 30 days and counting. Soon it will be 15 and then one. Middle of may. Its not far off.
You do realize you are a talented individual and posess a rare skill set.
Like someone said, i was looking for a job when i got this one.
Remember, if you leave, its them that are screwed, not you.

My happy place is a good pair of headphones and my favorite tunes.like meditation. Clear your mind and find a happy place. A few minutes in your fortress of solitude will do wonders for your spirit.

After having seen what my corporate stoopidvisors did with people trying to be gracious when they resigned, as in a two week notice. I had my stuff gathered up, loaded in my truck, quitting time came, I went to the office and handed in my keys. It's been fun, but not real fun. You have my address mail my final check.

Regarding job stress, and all the ways they make the job harder, and dealing with the public...something clicked last night (it's about time!!) and I am not going to sweat it anymore when things happen, so much is out of my control. I got to thinking, so many of my good friends passed on years ago...they didn't get to live long enough...and here I am still, I should be enjoying life and not getting upset.

Memike we seem to still be hanging on to winter here. Snow forecasted for Friday and Sunday. Suppose to have our first car show Saturday, don't think I'm going if there is snow on the ground and a high of 39.:(
