Stop in for a cup of coffee

hey Dave, If you're up for it. can you get a photo of the mirror?
There's a fellow selling one, I think a '68 and the stem is shorter. I think I'm going to go for it even though it means shipping from Canada.
Hang on a minute and I will get one. I will measure the stem too.

Ribbed pipes reduce the flow to the minimum diameter of the ribs at the narrowest part of the ribbed section plus a significant amount more since the turbulence between the ribbed sections reduces the effective laminar flow region substantially. A ribbed coolant tube can have as little as 40% of the flow cross section flow of a smooth tube.

In other words, it can be like replacing a 3” diameter radiator hose with on that’s only 1.25” in diameter.
Corrected my first sentence. <sigh> I need to proof read a little more carefully before hitting send!

Opposite problem...they feel 60% larger than they are to the recipient.

The wearer feels 60% less contact.
So why you're saying is that these kids that are snorting condoms should use the ribbed ones?

I have a mirror that mounts on the dash...59 regent.

Looks like you might be better off with the one like I have.
Yes. I'm getting the one listed in the For Sale section. It might be a '69, or maybe a '68, but its definately shorter stem than mine.
Styling is just as nice IMO. Its like '67 leans toward 'streamlined' look and by '69 it leans a little toward art deco.

Mine's really annoying on cloverleafs and even some regular stop intersections. Maybe its the short folks special. LOL.

The ball mount at the top...maybe not, it is backwards...Picture coming..

I agree,
The part numnber for mirror itself is the same on all cars - but the illustrations show some with a left right day-night lever and others with a plastic tab style.
??
Bracket & shaft 2808 576 - also used on the B-bodies (except Charger). Maybe that's the problem - good for B not for A if your a normalish 5-8 guy
Convertible coupe's have three different p/n,one for A, another B, and another for C bodies.

It is backwards from the convertible! Who would have thought that!
That's sure what it looks like. I saw one posted like that before and kindof scratched my head wondering if it was possible to assemble the other way.
Lemme see if I can link it. He didn't say what year, but its a black mirror with the safety trim.
