Nearly 24 hours without Internet. Sure got a lot of stuff done around here, even with the rain! A squirrel chewed the wire on the pole. Not the first time! I remember years ago I had the cable guy over here 3 times and he couldn't fix an intermittent issue. One evening I came home and a piece of chewed cable was taped to my screen door with a note:

"I finally found it!!! Dang squirrels."

Nice warm day,but windy. River is breaking up fast. I like the thought of no more ice on the river.
Helicopters in and out all day,im sure they are doing loaded patrols. This is a bad time for a forest fire to start,no water bombers yet, just the bambi buckets.
 
Hey Fellas! hope everyone had a good weekend!! I did an oil change on the hemi jeep and learned something new to me! Any day I come across something i haven't seen before in automobiles is pretty neat ;)

Doug called and invited me over for dinner - he's cooking a roast...

I haven't been able to hang out with him for three weeks now...

So I'm gonna hang with him tonight....

So never seeing something like that before, im assuming hydraulic driven fan? Thermally controlled by trans fluid temp?
Using the cooler line to run a pump is a great idea.
But,another failure or cause of a failure waiting to happen.
Just my opinion. Another unnecessary part to fail.

You nailed it! Hemi Jeep Commander. Hydraulic driven cooling fan attached to the radiator. Driven by the power steering pump. Temp sensor actuation with bypass valve for speed variation. First thought was man this is neat! 2nd though was...ughh...so when all this crap leaks...wtf am i gonna replace it with. lol
 
Rain setting in for tomorrow all day is what they are predicting, so I got to work today and lightly compounded the rest of the Fury and put a second coat of wax on the parts I did a couple weeks ago. Green just seems to oxidize fast and wax doesn't really seal it to where you get water beading up dime-size. Anyone know a product that works best on green paint? Or do I need to apply more coats? I am using Maguires. It is the original paint.

I doubt it has anything to do with the color. Just old paint. Which Maguires are you using? Has it been buffed out?
 
Yes Keith I had it buffed out and waxed shortly after I got it, and I have waxed it a few times since. This last time here is what I used.

I drove it in a couple days ago. I was going to get it in the garage to change the intake gasket and it won't start. No spark
 
Splain me this,how does your problem become his problem?:lol:
Mine starts fine, i have used that a few times.

Only use the compound if its oxidized. If it's already in good shape that could actually be going backwards. The next step is polish. That will clean up if it goes long between waxing. I like their 'Ultimate Liquid' Easy on and off. Even in the sun.

You bunch of Nut Balls....I have the same problem HE (Keith) HAD. And he never figured it out. His/your car just started to work.
 
Thanks Keith, I will try that one. The reason I used the compound is because the car stays out in the weather, unfortunately, and the paint felt like it had gotten dirt imbedded in it, not nice and smooth like it was.
 
You guys like that better than the paste waxes?
I've been using Mothers (on the occassions I actually get beyond a quick wash).

Have you have had a chance to investigate?
Spark from coil?
Power to coil?

I used carnauba years ago. Did a nice job, but never thought it lasted long enough.
