Stop in for a cup of coffee

Bars are 892 and 893, have the "L" going into the drivers side. Heard which end goes where doesn't matter, only side to side, put the "slot" vertical. I will try that tho.
only left and right matters. beyond that it's just for appearances

I would hit the adjuster arm with something to free it up if you can But be carefull it is prob cast iron? Not sure.

They have to be free to move. That's what the adjuster does is shift the hex. Been a while but that arm the adjuster hits should be able to move. I hit mine with appliance paint, sucked getting them free after that.
I never seized my adjusters and the ends of the bars get greased

I can see a slight rotation if I pull down very hard on the control arm. The adjuster is only showing a couple of threads and it slides up and down in the slot freely.

Sounds like the hex the front of the bar goes in is out of alignment. Keefer you remember what they are made of? Cast?

#7 has to be able to go up and down to line it up.

Has to be able to move up and down semi free so the hex on the bar lines up with that internal hex. I would try some sort of lube like pb blaster etc. Should be fine on the bushing. Ok I am out ton of UBERING to do today!:mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob:

If I dribbled POR 15 down in the finger or adjuster area, can I spray a solvent or lubricant in there? Don't want to hurt the bushing, don't know what I can get away with here.
how did the bars come out? If you got them out and haven't tightened anything, they should go back in

I bought the car disassembled. It had the front disc conversion but was disassembled. The guy had /6 bars and was running them with a 360. I bought these 340 bars and a new 340 k frame, has the washer welded to the front of the frame. This car has been immobile since I bought it, sad but true.

Got the AC charged on both drivers yesterday. Picked up a can of sealer and one of 134a at wallyworld. the other night. Tried to do the sealer in the Magnum and I couldn't get it to take any. Then I tried the refrigerant can. Nothing worked. Wasn't sure if it was the inlet on the car or the puncture valve on hose. Loosened the valve on the can and it popped off and blew the whole can out in about 3 seconds. :mad:Said fk it - too much other stuff to do. Called my buddy that has good gauges and a big bottle later. Took it over there last night. Pulled vacuum, got the sealer in and charged. Cooled down nice. Had 50 degree air blowing. Will see later if it held. Then took the wife's

over and gave that a top off. Could only get it down to 60 degrees though. Noticed the air wasn't blowing very strong. He said his did that and it was the cabin filter. Sure enough it was pretty filthy. Just took it out till I can get one.

Those cabin air filters get often overlooked.

Sounds like you are getting it!

Just looked at the weather.com '10 day' forcast (which actually shows 15 days - huh?) ... Anyway the Carlisle forecast at this point is high 80's and only rain showing is 30% chance for a storm to slide through on Saturday.

Not sure what 'it' is... I know I was getting pissed when that first can was empty and the only thing cold was the can. :BangHead:

Today is my Mom's birthday, her AC quit and my sister bought her a can of refrigerant for her birthday, odd gift I thought but useful. I know those cans aren't cheap.
