Stop in for a cup of coffee

Today is my Mom's birthday, her AC quit and my sister bought her a can of refrigerant for her birthday, odd gift I thought but useful. I know those cans aren't cheap.
depends what she got... the supposed better stuff with sealer etc in it is 25 to 30 a can. I got a can of sealer for 7 and straight refrigerant I think was only $5

I bought the car disassembled. It had the front disc conversion but was disassembled. The guy had /6 bars and was running them with a 360. I bought these 340 bars and a new 340 k frame, has the washer welded to the front of the frame. This car has been immobile since I bought it, sad but true.
this might be a dumb question and maybe its been addressed already, but have you measured or confirmed the part numbers to make sure it's for an A body? I screwed up years ago with the charger, i bought a set of big block T bars from a guy on moparts advertising them as B body bars from a 71 charger. Since a 71 has the same body style as my 74, I assumed the bars would interchange. Wrong, the 73-74 bars are 2.5 inches LONGER than 71-72 T-bars.

happy birthday to your mom! And good for your sister.

Bar numbers are 892R and 893L, I believe these are correct 340 A body bars. I thought I also read that the odd number bar goes on the drivers side, will verify all that before I go back today. It's a pain working in the garage there now that it's been emptied out. Any tool I don't bring I have to go to storage or my property to go get. Can't boil water to warm up torsion bar boots either!

Go by the L not the number. My guess is like hoppy said, need to get the adjuster clocked correctly.

Well I'm out to the house/garage, hopefully it has wheels today, thanks for all the tips everyone and have a Great Day!

Good morning...wow feels like this summer is flying by. Good thing with the 4th a Wednesday, they decided not to have us open on Sunday for the holiday week. Today one of the new girls is having a pool party, it's the perfect day for a cookout. There's a couple young guys I warned not to turn into knuckleheads...three beers is my limit anyway so I'll be out of there before anyone gets hurt or bent out of shape.

My Mom had a hospital bed delivered today. She won't have to worry anymore about my step-dad falling out. Right now it is wedged into their small living room, until later today the maintenance men will remove the regular bed from the bedroom. When their complex was being built (senior community), they picked out which unit they wanted, across from the maintenance building, I wonder if this scenario crossed her mind. Wives are smart.

Stepdad is at the stage where he doesn't eat much at all. He picked up the phone on Saturday when I called, and we had a nice chat, Mom said he enjoyed it.

Time to get on with the day! Try to stay cool, guys!

i'm talking about the key thing that the adjuster rides on.
not sure what the key thingy is...lol
the block of the adjuster seats on the flat of the half moon

That was our low last night. Going up to 97* today with a heat index of 107*
Trying to clear the garage to pull the duster in for a wax job tomorrow. Planning to show it Wed at the park in Red Lion on the 4th.
It's uckin fugly hot out there.

actually that was wrong and nobody else caught it... the adjuster block rides on the circle. I had that one out and just threaded that back in so I wouldn't lose it and wasn't thinking which way it belonged. lol

Yep that's what the adjuster bolt pushes on. with adjuster backed all the way down it should move freely and the Tbar should slide right in the socket
should but if its stuck from por15 or whatever, could be the issue. as then the hex isn't lining up
