Stop in for a cup of coffee

For any Doors fans out here, here's an interesting video with Ray Manzarek explaining how Riders on the Storm was written....

Interesting stuff. I am not a Morrison/Doors fan but I appreciate the talent.

Don't look like the yard work is doing itself. Guess I ought to get moving. Did some weed killing yesterday. Probably some more of that and trim a few bushes and some low tree branches...

Have fun. I get to pick peaches or try too

Ray,talked to my guy. Books are 64-68. Will take photos and e-mail. Its a start.

Once you get front glass out, can we get a better look at that lower corner?

Well ... I just walked into a steal. A 440 complete from carb to pan, locally for dang near free.

75 bucks. It's seized up, number 7 cylinder rusty but not pitted. Overall, not a bad score for something I seen in the paper this morning
I had 3 pistons seized in my numbers GTS 383. Actually removed 5 rods and pistons, then had to roll the crank out of it...LOL Then a steel pipe and a 20lb sledge on the pin area of three pistons, to drive em out..........LOL LOL LOL

You said "roll the crank out"! hehee...

I recently changed out a few more boards on the top deck. Those are 10 ft. scavenging good sections from ones I removed to fix lower deck today. Might still get at a little of that yard work I mentioned. Just thought fixing a holes in the deck was more important...

Keefer you have to much energy or is it to get away from the wife? I do that a lot myself.

I must be good at that too. (just ask my wife) LOL No, I got a 273 that had been through 2 floods. All 8 slugs were stuck. I took all the bearing caps off and was able to roll the crank out. You know, you have to save those steel cranks when you can. And if you crank just needs to be polished, even better yet.

this is a cast crank but i'll probably have it internally balanced IF i were to ever actually use it. If not, maybe I'll haul it to Carlisle and flip it for a couple hundred bucks

I think we were talking about the crank in Mitch's original 383 crank out of his GTS. What crank do you have? Is it a Poly crank? They are forged.
