I think we were talking about the crank in Mitch's original 383 crank out of his GTS. What crank do you have? Is it a Poly crank? They are forged.
ohhh. Sorry, I picked up a cheap complete 74 440 this morning. Seized up with rust in the number 7 cylinder. but got it CHEAP after stumbling into it in the paper

THere ya go. I bet you can get just one hole loose. Set it upright on a good engine stand and pour Coke in the hole. Let her eat.

Looks good, A good power wash for all of it and stain away.
Getting close to that. Still a few rotted spots on lower. Will continue with a few more full boards on the upper and use what I can to improve the lower. Then seal it up and hopefully not have any repairs on it next year. Except for maybe do the big set of steps. Long term method to my madness... within a few years upper will be all new without the expense and work of doing it all at once. At some point I will probably replace all of the lower deck with new including the small set of steps.

Must be something new. I don't have premium or pay anything.
 
This one was covered,i guess not always. Only had a stain once i got piston out.
