Yep, my son gave it to me for the 64 GMC, it will stay in the family and he will enjoy having a fun driver doing his music and chasing the ladies in it.
The big black Chevy is a smooth and comfee for sure.. we happy :thumbsup:
 
Man I am back for a few had to find some oilers for the distribs, what a pia that was.

Been using a lot of them lately on the dual points. I wish there was a supply of the tubes they press into. I usually mar them up removing them then have to polish and zinc plate them. Just takes more time out of the day.
 
My guy at Fastenal found me a bag of 30 of the 1/4 oilers but there is also a 3/16 which I use more of. Stopped by the store he works at now and he was making deliveries. Talked to the kid at the counter he was lost looking for a j bolt he had no idea what it was. I miss Ricky he is good. I have had him find me unfindable stuff for sure.

Cant rig up a tool to pull them? Block of hardwood and a couple bolts,make a purpose built clamp.
 
Been using brass jaws in the vice works pretty well so far. On cores half the time they are missing!:mad:
 
Really starting to need to find a hoard of prestolight dual points. at a decent price under $50 each

We're running on backup generators at work. Heavy lines of thunderstorms knocked out power to almost the entire town. What's wierd is though, the winds weren't bad so I'm guessing lightning hit something somewhere
 
Well got our room for Carlisle next year. The Barracks takes reservations 50 weeks out. Wife forgot to call Saturday, the first day she could. She got online last night after I asked, and got the last room. Boy that was close. Anyway reserved for a full week.
As we plan, going to make it a relaxing three day drive out. We'll stay at Scott AFB, Wright-Patterson, AFB, and in to Carlisle on that Monday. Gives me a couple days to go to Gettysburg before the show.
Are we going to get the same vendor spots??....I just need a place to park again.
Truck and trailer will be at Carlisle. Going to drive the Barracuda on car show days (Friday-Saturday) and a little cheap local rental the rest of the time.

I want to take the kids to Wright Patt, I've not been in nearly 15 years.
 
go figure... been in the perfect temperature conditions for the past week mid 70s to low 80s, next week for the Nats... low 90s, high humidty and chances of rain.
 
Well with the car and trailer for security reasons I like staying on base, compared to a motel parking lot.

Yeah don't blame you. I'd look at some of those little GPS units, they're like 35 bucks a year and are the size of a nickle. can be hidden in numerous places. My dart when finished will have multiple of those hidden in it.
