Just got back from meeting George H for lunch and dropping off the metal that Ben sent me...Great progress on the body metal work. Won't be long now.......
So the president of my local car club is looking at stuffing a 3rd gen hemi into his Rambler. Trying to help him out somewhat with researching what all is needed but man, that swap varies a Ton

The big question he's trying to find out is can one make the electronic trans manual shiftable
I wouldn't want to put the Gen3 Hemi in something and not use the 5 or 6 speed transmission but can you adapt a torqueflite or 500 series o/d to the late model bell? I just saw someone had a adapter for a Hemi to 4L80E G/M.Not in a rambler. But yes.
Ray, Your sig. Great old tune!

Looks good! Hard to tell from this photo, but it looks like it turned out well!
The NAG1 is already manually shiftable using the auto stick. All you need to run it is the Mopar TCM for stand alone application. The same is true for the engine PCM, it needs to be the Mopar stand alone PCM. The SA PCM and TCM are designed to work together. You've done it?

If I remember . The 727 matches up.I wouldn't want to put the Gen3 Hemi in something and not use the 5 or 6 speed transmission but can you adapt a torqueflite or 500 series o/d to the late model bell? I just saw someone had a adapter for a Hemi to 4L80E G/M.

Not with the SA TCM. It is designed for use without the wheels speed sensors that the factory TCM needs. And the speed sensors from the rear.
I'm lazy. I don't want to shift all the time. Not with the SA TCM. It is designed for use without the wheels speed sensors that the factory TCM needs.
It's a 64/65 I think. Rambler American. They have adapters for just about anything.
I would think a lot of tunnel and floor fab would be needed to make it work in a rambled.
What model Rambler Chris.

Stand aloneHmm what's SA mean?
So would one need the shift paddles and column then?
