Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm thinking right now. Regardless of outcome, you'll land on your feet. May not be exactly what you want if it goes poorly, but it'll work out (well probably). And they may agree to the retention package. I'd sure do it. You seem quite miserable there. Make them pay, or be on your way...
I agree with your assessment. It’s all just a game now...that I no longer care to play.

I just need to figure out what cards to play...and when.

It’s well past time to leave, just need to figure out how to do it and maximize the results for me going forward.

Just when I thought I had a plan set, they changed the rules...yet again.

Time for you to make the rules. might cost you a bit, might make you a bit. But I'm guessing you'll walk a little taller either way..

Idk, maybe I’m just being a whiner. It is a well paying job after all.

But seeing my Dad this past weekend and what he has become, reminds me intently that there aren’t as many years ahead as behind...and I need to not waste them on fools and circumstance.

It just shouldn’t be this hard to find the right path, but at the moment...I feel a bit lost.

And I hate that most of all.

The difference in moneys between the best and worst outcome is not worth your health, sanity, family and self. I still say push the issue. They need you more than you need them.. Whatever the outcome, you sleep better, you smile moren and family digs the happier you...

Thinking when they mentioned you would be there for the duration, would have been the moment retention should have been discussed. Had they said no,which i doubt, you would at least know where they stand.
Bestof Luck,Dave!

I know you are right...I just need to act.

Thanks.

Not a great day at work today.

The CEO informed me that the investors have decided that I am a “Protected Species” and while they may close the business down to the bare minimum over the next couple of months (Executive staff is already down to 1 day per week), I will remain full time with full benefits for the duration. They need me to give the sale of the company any value.

This means no severance package for me until there is nothing left but to turn out the lights. :BangHead:

What a PIA. Now I have to think about how far to let it go before I demand a retention package...or walk.

*sigh*
Certainly pull every dime out of them you can, but you have made it clear that is not the issue. What you really need is for them to respect you. They basically tell you that you are indispensable, but ignore what you tell them and make stupid decisions. :wtf:

Another day of UBER! And I have to use the fIRECHICKEN!:mad:That just makes it that much worse!

Not looking forward to it at all. Just it is always in the middle of the day and I will get back it will be to hot and humid to do much. Want to get that floor piece in the Cuda before I move it is out and it is right over all the frame support areas so I don't want it to move without it welded in then get the other car on the lift and fix the fuel line. Just sucks!

Good grief Dave. You're stronger than I would be. I'd done quit by now. Surely someone with your skill set and reputation could find a suitable new job.

Morning peoples...starting my morning here, off to a great start.

Talked to a buddy in Washington state yesterday. For 45 years he's owned a 1970 Boss 429. Hasn't really driven it in 40 years had 20K miles. Kept it running and cleaned up over the years. Anyway last week a guy approached him about selling it. Guy came by, checked it over, etc... He offered him 400K, and it sold.
I've looked up current ones selling and they are all 275-325K range. I didn't ask too many questions this time, but want to find out what made this one so special. He always said it was a special car, but I just thought Boss 429, ya it's special. Must be more to the story??
Payment $100 bills in a suitcase.
