Ok another stupid question from the west, hinges on doors then to body or on body then doors? And it looks like seam sealer on body before hinges installed. A little enlightenment would be appreciated!

oversized is a relative term. Caps can be huge. Depends what they are for.And what are those blue things? They look like oversized capacitors
It had nothing to do with the fire. How it was wired might have though...Hmmm finally got the glove box opened up today on the polara. Lock was jammed and I finally messed with it. I found this set up inside. Anyone wanna bet if it had anything to do with the fire

And as for the alternator, there isn't one.
