Stop in for a cup of coffee

The folks had a '57 Ranch Wagon 2 door when I was a kid. They sold it and bought a behemoth Merc wagon. I saw the '57 wagon about 3 yrs ago in the same neighborhood as the folks sold it, still drivin'.

Dad takes the '57 wagon to Tijuana to get it reupholstered an painted. Dark blue an light blue tuck n roll inside, dark blue outside. The '57 Ford fins weren't as huge as some, but still there. We go pick it up about a week later, looks great. Get it back to the house, about 50 miles. The paint behind the fins under the rear windows had little wind ripples in it . Hard to see, no biggie. The first time we use it in the dark after the re-upholstery, open the door, no dome light. :wtf: Looked up at the headliner, upholstered right over the dome lamp :rofl:just a faint blue glow. I liked that wagon.

I like Waggin's wagon. Where's his photo.

A friend of mine gathered a '63 or '64 Comet 2 door wagon and it just sat neglected. Dad still had that behemoth Merc with that behemoth 430 in it sitting in his storage yard. The wheels in my head started turning. Dad just shook his head ":wtf: are you thinking?" First time I ever heard him use that word

Well so much for welding the quarters on my car tomorrow. Daughter has caught lice from school. Her school has had an out break and the preventive steps we took, failed to prevent her from getting them. So she has to stay home now tomorrow.

Wow, that's still a thing? I remember when I was in school....kids had to go to nurses office and get hair washed with some nasty smelling shampoo.

I am surprised I have never had lice...I have had to work with some inmate clients who had it , BAD!!!

one girl had it so bad you can see the lice in little dune buggy's riding around her melon.

Another girl had it so bad the judge gave her a PR bond just to get her the hell out of the place and save the county some money on the $100. a bottle treatment

Apparently they (lice) have made a comeback in many schools in the US anyway.
It was quite rare for anyone to get them when I was a kid.

Nah, they were around back then too. We had a few outbreaks when I was a kid and my daughters elementary school had one 4 years ago.

The kids get it from their parents and bring it to school.

The kids are clean, their parents...not so much.

It’s what happens when you are engaged in close proximity with the “Public”.

Ya know. With coil overs and some sheet metal work on the front end of a Ranchero a 426 would fit in there. '66 or '67 were my favorites. Hmmmmm
