Well, today was my official weigh-in day and I am now down 36 lbs.

I am slowly chiseling my way out of the fat suit I have been wearing for the past 20 years...

What's this? Another movie star or fashion model emerging at FABO?
Careful Dave. Any one of them might get jealous.
Remember when OMR looked like JPAR?
LOL

is the transmission unique to a poly or will it bolt to an LA ??
Push button or floor/column shift?

The bellhousing pattern is the same. They can be put onto an LA just note a couple things, the ball and trunnion driveshaft for one if it's a 65 and older And two, if it's pushbutton, the input shaft spline count is different than a non push button, the 66 and newer style 727. But that only matters when ordering a converter.

Oh if that's push button, let me know. There's a special process for cable removal. If you do it right, you can sell the cables which bring 100-200 a set

Nah, my goal is to undo what 20 years of circumstance has caused.

I was at around 215 lbs back then it was a comfortable weight for my frame. A few years later I tore the meniscus in both knees severely and spent a month in a wheelchair followed by 6 weeks with a walker. After that it was 2 years with a cane. I gained 37 lbs as a result.

Then I was put on an oral diabetes drug that I never should have been on. 10 years later, I gained another 45 lbs. 18 months ago, I stopped that drug (mainly because of side effects) and under my doctors supervision, monitored by blood sugar and a1c. Once it showed it was stable and there was no need for the drug, I began this quest. At that point, I weighed 315 lbs.

My plan was 3 years to lose 100 lbs. It is now just over a year and I am on target, now at 279 lbs.

I have lost 36 lbs, 4” off my waist and chest, 3” off my arms and legs and 2” off my neck. I have also been regularly checking my metabolism with my doc and there have been no changes since I started. My body is adapting to the change without resistance (the biggest risk with this level of weight loss).

I feel and move better than I have in along time.

It took 2 decades to gain all this weight, undoing it slowly is the only way to make it permanent.

Not really. Maybe if you was closer lol
If you wanted it, I would rather have you come and grab it, over having a weirdo in my yard from CL.

Shamefully, I have scraped good stuff before to avoid CL weirdos in my yard, checking out what is good to steal.

It is restricted air space and I don't allow cameras in. I have taken a shot at a drone from a sniper cover before and I'll do it again. They can fly their junk somewhere else.

Sounds great Dave.

I'll pass. I've got 3 already haha. Now one thing you might do, check with the local dirt track racers. They like the poly block because they can bore it .1 and use LA heads on it, giving them a nearly indestructible bottom end

IMO CL is for unloading stuff locally in exchange for selling at less than max possible value.
I learned not to post anything for free, even if I give it away. I'm sure there's other ways to reduce the scammers, theives and those who just waste your time.
For a poly engine, I'd say you've got to be patient and work auto listings, car clubs, shops with a higher than average percentage of people who might want one.
I unloaded a '65 727 on the transmission shop for partial value on a later one. They were glad to have one in their stash and I got rid of an oddball, sorry rarity, taking up space.
