That's the next day I am open Don't bring it down today have three distrib to do and want to pull the steering column out of the cuda also. Never enough time. Hell mine is full and prob have a bed full of cans also. Definitely be easier just to hitch it u and bring it down the same time when you go.

Steering column - AAAAAAA! I just spent hours and hours putting mine back together. There are a jillion parts in one o' those things and ya HAVE to do everything in just exackly the right sequence or ya' can never get it right. I asked Carl if he ever did one of those and he said yeah. I asked if he thought it was more like cracking the safe at the Bank of London or more like defusing a thermonuclear device. He said oh: definitely nuclear device. Plus they don't show how to do it in either the assembly manual or the Fisher body manual. Must be made by a third party... like...SATAN!

It's Willys Wednesday!
Good morning.
Downpour woke me at 2am.
It lasted all of 3 minutes, some rain shower.
First rain since May 26th.
Old time normal rain years we get one shower during deer season, mid-August thru September.
Not going to be a normal winter.
Might be flood city.
Might be Barstow with beach front views.
Who knows?

Cadillac steering columns suck. Toughest one yet.

I put 90W in the crankcase of my 61 Fury. 318 poly, had a huge rod knock!! It was real smooth till the oil got hot, Sold it, "AS IS" :rofl:Hard to start on a cold morning!!

Wow it's funny the stuff you find online:

I went looking for pictures of Mr Pepsodent, and found them on a page that said "Shaun's car in 1970". So I downloaded them and posted them here.

Then I looked at them again and noticed: Hey: That wasn't 1970; that was 1973!

How do I know? Well, in the first pic, that's Dave Allen's '64 Nova broke down on the street out front - It was always broke down - and that's ME lookin' under the hood.

How do I know it was me? 'Cause that's my '65 Chevelle next to Mr. Pepsodent under the plastic, and that was when I'd taken the 230 out and hadn't put the 283 in it yet, so that was 1973.

Then there is another way, water and cleaning soda in a bath with the rusty part and a stainless steel plate, and connected to the battery charger. And the rust will go away.

Bill
I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet but you should NOT use stainless! It releases Chromium. I'm no chemist but I do know Chromium is not good for you.
