Someone please explain to me why I’m not an alcoholic at this point.

Since the 6th of December the following has happened:

Jeep radiator cracked
Jeep Trackbar bolt breaks
Oldest gets suspended from school for defending herself from a bully.
Grand champ GOAT hangs herself in the fence by a freak accident

And this tonight: the Durango with 4 month old Michelins has the right front come apart on the way home.

If it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all so they say. Do you go to church? If not you should.

Used too. I got sick of the constant complaining about money. Haven’t found a church yet that every sermon isn’t about money

sorry to hear that, when you're hungry, being told you need to give doesn't cut it. you must be fed first, then you will be willing to donate. we've got a church we visit that friends attend. haven't heard money request once, they make you feel like family, let you hang out at their shindigs and remember your name. sermons are about our relationship with Jesus and each other, not we want, we want, we want. please keep looking for such a place, they are out there.

It wasn’t the giving that bothered me. I was already at 12 percent. It was the constant 45 minute sermons about needing money. Tried 4 churches, all the same.
 
I have been to a lot of churches in my life time and I can honestly say that most all focus on the relationship between the believer and Jesus. However I see that the Mega churches or those on TV ask for money every time. A close family church is a great experience.

If they were giving a 45 minute sermon on giving every Sunday I would leave to.

It’s all the churches around these parts. They’re all in this competition to build the next mega church. Heck the one I left, just built a church that can seat 12,000… there’s only 19k in the entire county…

Mine was, they fell into the mega church desire trap about 10 years ago, they even paid 250,000 to move the old church built in the 1880s across the parking lot to allow the new church to be built in its spot.

Morning!
Did nothing yesterday. Went to a friend’s place for supper. Did a bit of shopping on the way there.
Temp is rising, will be above freezing today and tomorrow.
Thinking of something to do until after christmas when i start the Mustang 4.6 project.
Maybe intake swap in the Fargo or interior work in Studebaker..
 
Good Morning All! Storm got us pretty good on Whidbey Island, was on "storm duty" for 6 hours yesterday, not bad but back on this morning. My areas telecom equipment held up pretty good and came off our generator last night around 8 pm. Will check in later, good luck with your projects and GO SEAHAWKS (late game)!
