Mr Beer is a great starter. American Lager, American Lite, or Northwest Pale Ale are great starters. Get the kit with the plastic keg and bottles to start. You can graduate to partial mash batches as you progress. I am always here to help. Mr Beer also has a active Facebook group. I have also bought kits and ingredients from More Beer and Northern Brewer as well.

Hey Mike I am about to install two new fermentation tanks, you want to break them in? Each tank is 14.5 ft in diameter by 85 ft tall. They are on a boat now heading thru Suez Canal. We will transport them from Houston Port, up 35 to 29 into Fargo. Each tank dry, weighs in right at 90,000 pounds. I have to use a 500 ton crane to set them as I need to rip top of my building, pick them over a 80 ft wall and drop them in from the top. With the height of the tanks I need a clear, right at 200 ft in the vertical plane, that’s a lot of stick on a crane. Tanks should arrive in October. With the recent changes in transportation costs including ocean passage my original quote is no longer valid and new bill is up 323,000 dollars. Sure is hard to manage a budget that way.

Wow, sounds like quite a project. When they get in place and working no one realizes how they got there. 6 gallon buckets with snap lids work well for me. LOL

This is a medium skill kit (I would call it) Made a 2 gallon batch last fall and it was delicious around Christmas time. 2 gallons wasn't nearly enough! LOL Double batch this year. Barley's Chocolate Orange Stout

Too light and the apple portion is slightly bitter.

I was expecting to LOVE it.
 
My neighbor tore a tendon in his arm recently and had to have surgery. He's been leaning on my pretty heavily. He throws me a text about 4:30 "you busy right now?" I was but said give me a few. He says "meet me at my truck at 4:45 and bring a glass. I need some help with my truck." Sounds good to me.
I get there and he has me open a new bottle of Tullamore Dew. I help him with his truck and we sample the whiskey.
I few sips later our wives are wanting to feed us so we part ways and he gives me the rest of the bottle.
Caribbean Rum Cask Finish. I've had it before. I like it and the price was very good.:thumbsup:

Hows the back TMM? Must be better with the beermaking. I sure hope to find time to make beer one of these days. I have all of the equipment. I've made some wine in the past. Never have made beer.

Right now the back is better. Went to the chiro again this afternoon. All will be good for hours and then a stabbing hip pain that lasts for hours.

I hear ya. Got a herniated L5 S1. Pain switches from side to side. Goes down the backside on the right or the front side on the left which feels more like hip pain. That hip pain is the worst. I have a friend who just had his hip replaced. We are 60ish now. He used to press #700 with those hips.

Didn't really realize how often I hit this site during the day until it wasn't here.
